Purchased pc copy, constant 90002, 2002, 90006 and occasional 10105

As the title says, getting these errors constantly, sometimes logging into the game for about 3 seconds, sometimes not even getting there

Weird thing is, I have been able to get into the game a few times and even send a few messages to a friend about my progress

While I did determine my mcafee was the cause of some disconnects, my trace route still appears to be awful.

When I ran this one, I was inside the game running about in mist relatively ok. The same results came up though when I had the game closed completely

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums,

We would like to recommend the following troubleshooting steps:

    - The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Thanks for the swift response!

I did the internet explorer and antivirus bits and the 2002 errors have stopped, as have the 90002. Still getting 10105 and the odd 90006 but at least I managed to get a few minutes on without error

will check tomorrow for the ports since i can't access router yet

    Thank you for the reply.

Please keep us updated in regard to the issue. If using WiFi, please connect directly to the router if possible.

Positive progress today. It took me a few hours to learn how to open my ports but I think I managed to do so. I could connect to the game and wander around emptier areas (mist, foundation, lower la noscea)
but the moment I got into gridania or the firmanent I lagged out repeatedly. Ran another tracert and it came out:

Edit: ran tracert a few more times, hop 4, 6 and 11 are always request timed out, the ping is generally below 180ms. The time I'm pinging is 8pm gmt, usually when peak hours tend to start from my experience on ps4.

Thank you for the reply Recon1o6.

According to the trace route you provided, you seem to be struggle with the connection early on in the route. If you are running into an issue along your route to the server, then I'd suggest contacting your ISP regarding this.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

It appears this problem is going to persist for a while as my isp (virgin media) have had to shut most of their customer service due to the virus outbreak.
I will keep you updated when I can

strange part is my ps4 copy works completely fine

A friend was having the same problem on Virgin, it seemed to resolve itself when she had to replace her router. Obviously see what Virgin have to say first before spending money on router, but might be something worth bringing up with them as well.
