Character level acting as Entry, yet says "Standard" in my account details

I came a cross a weird issue today. I was going to transfer a character across servers, only to find that ... I can't transfer to any world I already have characters on.

I also tested creating a new character. I cannot select any worlds that I already have characters on. An error saying "You cannot create any more characters on this World. Please select another." shows up when trying to select such worlds, as opposed to the errors saying "This World is not accepting any more new characters. You may either wait for the restriction to be lifted, or you may select another world." message for worlds that are congested.

I can provide screenshot proof, but would rather not on a public forum, of my account being listed as "Standard" on the Mog Station.

I have created a support ticket, but I wanted to also ask here to see if anyone else may have any information that can help.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

We apologize for any inconvenience that has occurred when playing Final Fantasy XIV. Unfortunately the issue you are describing is not a technical issue. We will be moving this thread to "General Discussion".

Good luck with your adventures through Eorzea!

Standard just means you aren't on steam or the free trial or legacy.

Are you in the standard sub or the entry sub? How much do you pay per month.

Confirmed this as resolved. I may have found the cause but this definitely should be addressed. I had been paying with time cards, which do act as Standard. However, before I started using time cards about 5 months ago I had had an "Entry" subscription for about 6 years. I never changed that. So it seems when I added the time card it kept my account status as Entry in the backend, whilst showing the status as "Standard" on my details screen. While I waited for support, I proceeded to try and pay for another month manually with my credit card, only to find that "Entry" was selected by default, leading me to believe the server had that selected for my account. When I tried to pay, the total ended up being a little less than $2 to cover the rest of... something. And voila! I can create characters now. Really weird.

There is "Account status" Which tells you "Standard" "Standard(Steam)" (Trial)

And there is "Service account status" which tells you what your recurring/payment option is.

Its that field that will say "entry" "Standard" or "Legacy".

At least, I assume the first 2 entries, Mine all say Legacy so... yeah...

The service account status for me, said Standard, and still says standard. My assumption is when I added my time card code, the servers didn't update my service account level from Entry (which I had had for 6 years prior to 6 months ago) to Standard on the backend, but the function that checks for the status on the webpage only goes by what I'm paying for instead of actually checking the server database for the status. It makes sense. It saves server traffic, keeps things isolated (less traffic outside of the web server for added security), and is faster so less server load. I still stand by that the programmers should look into the issue. I say that because I had an active Standard sub, but the solution for my problem came when I paid for another 30 days, yet it only had me pay $1.64 or something like that for some reason. When I was paying, it had Entry selected by default even though my account status said Standard. I had to change it during the payment process. This confirms my belief that the server backend thought I was still on Entry even though I had paid using a time card.

To reiterate. I still had a bit left from my 60 day time card left, which was my last form of payment. I have not paid with my credit card for Entry account level since 6 months ago, and I only ever paid one month at a time. I have never paid forward multiple months. So, my account, because it was paid with a time card, should in fact have been standard anyways, regardless of your belief that I had Entry as my account level.
