How can I sell it and get back Allagan Tomestone token?
Others mmo's have a set time to return gear bought with tokens.

There is no ingame way to return it like that. Just gonna have to get more tomestones.

That said, this game really, REALLY needs a buyback feature like that (e.g. in WoW you have a two hour window where you can sell tome/token/currency items back for a full refund, assuming you haven't used it yet.) It's really stupid that you can easily be out two weeks worth of tomes because of fat fingers and there's no recourse.

You need to confirm every purchase you made. If you have the wrong class it gives you an extra warning too. Even if you fat fingered the item you can still back out of the trade.

There is a one time (and they mean it once only in your accounts lifetime) item restoration. It's not an ingame function per se, you'd have to contact a GM and even then it's not a very quick procedure.
Honestly the wrong tomestone piece may seem devastating in the moment but when you realize you only ever get one, it's not that big of a deal.

Well, I have to say that the gearing system in this game is... APPALLING! Yes, I made another mistake, because buying tokens with other token to buy a number of tokens to upgrade my gear is not stupid, it's something which no word has been invented yet.
After upgrading my shire weapon from 260 to 270 I went to upgrade armor and acessories. Instead of buying 11x Illuminati Tautest Gobtwine, I got 11x Illuminati Deepest Gobdip.
Let's just say that something near me broke and... I don't even care anymore.
Like why... WHY is the rowena gearing system so complicated and obtuse and outright just ridiculous?!?!?!?!

Thats sucks, but don't worry about it too much. Poetics are so common you'll be capped again before you know it. And unless you are doing it for the dyability, you don't need the extra ilvls augmented gear gives.

Also, accesories use a different component than body pieces. It's because when the content was current, those items drop from savage raids, and accessories give less stats than body pieces, so the two are separate.

I know I'm dropping in here 2 years late. but this is just completely absurd and unacceptable. It's 2023 and this is STILL a issue. New players like me are running into this issue. It's not a simple issue, it's Sqaure Enix being lazy and irresponsible. I'm done with this game. Byyyyeeeeee.

I can understand that purchasing the wrong item is frustrating. I would have no problem with them adding a buyback system. But honestly, mis-spending some Poetics is such a non-issue. The game drowns you in Poetics if you want them. Its slightly more annoying if the mistake is made with an end-game currency, but still not the end of the world. Best in slot gear doesnt have a ton of uses(so "being behind" isnt really a big deal), and less-then-BiS is even easier to replace. I could stop playing today while waiting for the game to patch, come back a couple weeks before the next expansion, and be fully geared up and ready to roll into new content when it dropped.

But if this is enough of a frustration to cause you to leave, i wish you well. May you find the game you seek.
