    Hi everyone,

i am experiencing the following Issues frequently:

-> I suddenly loose my ServerConnection, this happens several times a day in different Situations: doesn't matter if I am in an instance, being fishing oder idling.
This also sometimes happens after a teleport (doesn't matter which destination) - After the teleport / loading screen I can see the HUD, all the environment, only my char doesn't show up.
Evertime i loose my connection, the Connection status says its sending, but receiving 0.
I have to login again after that.

    Second problem:

-> The game freezes suddenly, but not so frequented as the Network Problem.
The game stops in a frozen Frame in several Situations. I can still hear Battle Sounds and Music from the Game, but I cannot use my Computer anymore.
Even if I quit the app (if it is possible, because most of the times my Mac freezes completely), I can still hear the sounds from the game. I have to restart my machine to solve this.

A Problem with my Network environment seems to be impossible, since I run the PS4 Version in the same Network working well all the times with no Issues. I never had a disconnect on the PS.

I already tried different Display-Resolutions and Graphic Quality Options, they all perform very good but produce all the same Issues.

Mac Book is brand new, with only the most Important Software installed, FFXIV installation is quite new.

I hope there will be a solution for this in future Updates.

    Regards, Melz

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

To resolve the connection issue, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - Ensure the latest version of Safari is installed on your Mac (even if you don't use Safari.)
    - After updating, open Safari browser and make sure that all Browser History and Cookies/Web Data have been deleted.
    - Please also make sure that "Cookies" are accepted and not being filtered.

Once these options have been adjusted, please run the Apple Update program to check that all firmware is up-to-date on you Mac OS. Once this process is complete, please re-launch the FINAL FANTASY XIV application.

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

    - Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy Technical Support Forums.

Thank you. I deleted the cookies and cache since I already adjusted the other options before. Now running to test if there are disconnects. I’ll write as soon as I know if it is better now.

    Regards

Worked find for 2 and a half hrs. Now disconnect again. Maybe there is some kind of problem with the wine-distribution of the game with Mac OS Catalina?

Good afternoon and thank you for the reply.

Are you connected directly to the router or are you using WiFi?
