This would give me enough reason to never visit balmung. I swear the reasons you come up with these days.

Only if it will look like Emet's disgusted face.
I'd use this emote to every terribly dressed player I'd find
Ugh lol!
I played SotA when it first came out for beta - and in a beginning area there was an NPC that was vomiting constantly (don't ask me why they thought that was a good thing to add) - so I vote NO! lol
It was gross ....
We already have to deal with people abusing /slap during raids and shit, we don't need a /gag one, too.
Just a few weeks ago, we had this really hostile SCH (WHO HEARD OF A GRUMPY SCH? REALLY) being really aggressive towards the DNC overwriting eachother (we had 4 DNC on the team) right after the first fight, and it was like "yo, there's going to be some overwriting for the first fight while we adjust to each other." Then she had the balls to be patronising to the tank. Then she had the gall to bitch at her co-healer and tell them how to play their class as well when she wasn't really doing anything herself and the other SCH was doing most of the work. Then she proceeded slapping people in the final fight and throwing a tantrum.
That's like, the worst and most recent case of slapping during raids, but I've seen it a few times before, even coming from other parties. It makes it really unpleasant in the raid/dng itself when it does happen (though thankfully it's rare), and I can only imagine /gag doing the same thing. /Gag would probably be abused outside of instances, too, in an unpleasant manner.
So, no. I hope we don't get a /gag. People can already /emote gags at <t>. if they really want to, but I don't think SE needs to condone it themselves. It might be a cute idea in theory, but there are a lot of people who like to ruin things for the rest of us.
I won't be coming back to FFXIV's forums. The forum vibe is way too venomous and brings out the worst in me. I don't like who I am on the forums, so it's best to distance myself.
I don't think people should miss out on something just because a minority of players could abuse the function.
