Massive lag in instances, started 24 hours ago

See title. On PC, was fine until recently. The issue appears to be rubberbanding; players and monsters appears stationary and don't take action for a few seconds, and then all of it catches up at once. This repeats several times a minute.

Ping test is fast, no issues outside of instances or in other applications. Any thoughts on how to resolve? It makes most of the group content basically unplayable.

I should point out the it is specifically 4-man dungeon that appear to be giving me this problem; trials have been fine.

I have attempted to troubleshoot by restarting the FFXIV application, restarting my PC, and restarting my router/modem. It appeared to have no effect.

We noticed that your graphics card drivers are a little out of date and newer patches are going to utilize newer driver versions. We would recommend updating the graphics drivers and to perform a clean reinstall of them if necessary. Also, when does the lagging occur during the day? Typically, lagging and rubberbanding occur when there is a high number of players in the same location at once.

I will try updating the graphics card drivers, although it would be odd if there was a graphics issue only in dungeons. It happens at all times of the day; I experienced the same issues last night, this morning, and about two hours ago.

FYI, I updated the drivers and restarted my computer. Still having the same issue. Thanks for your continued assistance, I would love to get to the bottom of this. It is really making dungeons unplayable.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums,

Due to recent events, there are a significantly larger amount of people staying home and playing FINAL FANTASY XIV which would increase peak times. Most likely, this is why there is lag and rubberbanding occurring in certain areas. However, we would like to recommend the following troubleshooting steps and see if they help:

- The game will use the Internet Explorer web browser to connect to the internet. Open Internet Explorer, then open the "Tools" setting, go to "Internet Options" and adjust the following settings:
- Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
- Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
- Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
- Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
- Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
- Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
- Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
- Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
- Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"

-Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

- Check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:

-Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.

Same issue, starting from today game lagging. Like if it was big ping 500-2000. But i have perfect connection and tracing to server dont show any problems.

Game worked perfectly until today.
