In the game I have never seen a dialogue that talks about this codex, there isn't also a bestiary where you can see the monsters encountered and killed.
I think it's nice to have a list of monsters encountered, maybe add an achievement for the bestiary and unlock pages to the mob's description like rewards for repeatedly killing the same mob (like in Final Fantasy XII).
There is one that keeps track of all the NMs you kill. As well as an achievement of how many total mobs you killed. Not sure of the value of keeping trackof how many times I killed a Pug, so maybe that is lower on their list of 'things to do'.

in this game I didn't hear anything about this story (or only rarely), it might be interesting to know more about this adventurer and do missions that unlock the maps to buy (and so approach to Final Fantasy XI).
I *THINK* that this is actually mentioned, very subtley, at a certain point by a certain NPC. And is included as a sort of 'easter egg' to FFXI fans, as it is one of the few (only?) in-game references to FFXI that ties in lore-wise.

However, all maps are available freely, so there is no plans at this time for that to be done.

It is discussed in quests, and stories and books in the game. It is not made blatantly obvious. I think in order to reflect that, in-game, it is not even fully understood, recordered, or remembered. So vagueness may be intentional to keep it shrouded in mystery.

Currently it seems not only static but also a dead land but in the end with the 2.0 patch will change, I think.
Well, CLEARLY you did not wander around a corner filled with level 20 mobs and run straight into a level 99 Gobbue that hits you for 9999 damage ^.^;;
That was a surprise....

Otherwise not sure what you mean by 'unchartted territory'. The inhabitants have been living there for quite some time, so it is pretty well known.

I like to think guildleves in large numbers (almost like a trading card game) where the free companies, may possess different leves that give access to different places and dungeons inaccessible without them.
You can get Grand Company leves that let you do little missions (like normal leves) but also reward GC Seals. Presently the leves really are nothing more than a 'mission' process. Right now they have nothing really to do with trading cards, or cards in general.

Not sure where you are going with this... this does not sound like the leves that are implemented in game now. Perhaps you are want an additional system to the leves, rather than a change.

Yes, tripple-triad would be nice!

The system of Final Fantasy XII would be perfect:
look at the bulletin board, you accept the task, go to the client, kill the wanted (including the cutscenes), you get the reward and unlock stronger monsters in the bulletin board.
Sound a lot like Faction Leves. Asside from getting it from a 'board' to the left of the NPC, the NPC presents you a 'board' with 1-3 leves on it. What is different that you are looking for?

I am not sure what you are saying here, perhaps because I could never get the poll to work. Are you suggesting we should have more races, such as NPC/Mob races? I would be worried about being a Dodo or Beastman and having someone come attack me ; ;
