Anyone thinking that all those mog station dollars are going I to the game is delusional, can't forget fattening up the shareholder's wallets!

Yeah. They should’ve put those dances in the Gold Saucer or something.
i’m kind of joking. i don’t really care, but, i have to agree that it’d be nice to get more stuff in the game rather than the MogStation.

Providing an explanation is not defending their practice. People also have this misconception that were the Cash Shop to not exist, all these items would have be released as in-game rewards. They wouldn't be. They just wouldn't be made at all because the whole point of Cash Shop exclusives is to generate profit. Take the profit away and... what incentive does SE have to release them? Bear in mind, the Cash Shop is handled by a different team who exist only to make DLC.It sounds to me all you are doing is defending Square Enix's excessive pricing for optional items that could well be part of in-game events.
Without ruining SE's business, another solution for everyone to enjoy optional items would be if they slashed half the item's price after every year in the store, so it starts at 100% the price, one year later 50%, one year later 25%, etc. etc., I doubt many players buy DLCs after years in the Mog Station anyway!.
While your sale idea is nice, considering Sleipnir remains one of the best selling mounts four years later. Probably not much incentive for SE to cut their profit from $24 to $6.
Actually, it does. The Cash Shop is the only revenue which stays in FFXIV according to Yoshida. Our sub fees are what is divvied up into other SE projects like FFVII: Remake and FFXV.

It is items from past seasonal event.
It is give and take.
If you really want this item you would spend time and obtained it already.
If you are party for the party because you just start the game, it is bad, that is just how it is.
For example, the public transit in my city used to offer free parking if you bought a monthly pass
By the time I bought my car, i will need to pay for the parking even with a monthly pass
Am I going to yell that my city is a bloody greedy money sucker?
I dont think so, that is how how thing is
I don't mind some mounts and stuff being exclusive to the Mog Station as long as there continues to also be ones that can only be obtained by grinding, difficult content, etc.
But then again, it isn't about having the mount with me, it's about what I went through to get it.

While this is true it's not enough to stop me from playing the game... yet. Though I have to say stuff like this is why I don't play other MMOs. You're beginning to cross a line Square. Pull back before it's too late.So now seasonal mounts added to the cash-shop with no chance of getting it in game. This is turning into a wallet drain game. We already pay 15+ for sub, pay for additional retainers and expansions. Now we have to buy seasonal event mounts that is more expensive than the sub? WOW SE you are going too far. If you are going to say "You dont have to buy it" Dont bother...the point is after paying all this money to play the game now they are starting to gate seasonal items in the cashshop....Just wow.
We have to be careful with these seemingly "innocent/harmless" micro transactions, which are usually cosmetics. Cash Shop will over time incentivize the developers to dull the base game in order to drive Cash Shop sales.

This is a slippery slope fallacy. The Mogstation has been around for six years and nothing has changed. At best, you could argue they got a bit too greedy with the emotes but it still didn't impact the actual meat that is our patch cycles.

Square Enix is a small indie studio, totally not big AAA company. You must be one of these entitled western players who want to get everything for subscription.
We really don't need this post every time the mogstation gets an update. Either buy it or don't, gameplay won't change if you have this mount or don't.
