For whatever dumb ass reason I used to think unspoiled gathering nodes for Miner and Botanist would go away if someone beat me to them. I didn't think they were only client side for some reason. I used to get really upset at people who were already gathering at the node. And at people who came to the nodes after I was there first. Didn't actually SAY anything to them though. So that's great. But uh yeah... I'm am dumb.

Found out that you could set a couple of mounts as your favourite. Been opening the mount tab to select my favourites for like 3 months now.

Whenever I get into a duty, I scan all the players for catbois and only check those out and see if I like them. I do the same anywhere else in the game anyway, and whenever they click on me, I quickly press ESC and waddle away. (I never approach people first ; w ; )
I also tend to start crafting something, and the moment I complete the craft I noticed I forgot to switch on Collectable crafting. I uh... Do this literally every time.

When I was new to the game, I had no idea where to get my mount. People kept saying around level 20, but I never got it (back then side-quest with a +-marker weren't a thing) so I just assumed my character had a bug/glitch and I could never obtain a mount, so I went through ARR and HW without a mount until people pointed out I had to do a company quest. .-.

This reminds me... I count all the male Miqo'te I meet (especially Moon Keepers) in Main Scenario and Side Story quests. In content before Shadowbringers, at least.

Coming from WoW where literal wars broke out over nodes on PvP server I always made a beeline for nodes as if total annihilation was around the corner and the node my only chance at survival.
Took me quite a while to notice that nodes miraculously did not despawn if someone got there first. And imagine my confusion when I saw someone standing 2m away from me, seemingly hacking into thin air.

Only thing I can think of is way back when I started really playing this game, sometime around the end of ARR and before start of HW. Having come from both FFXI and WoW, I was under the impression I wasn't supposed to actually do damage. I was used to the way the other MMO's did it. Huge, continuous spike damage would happen and MP was always tight so I wasn't supposed to waste it trying to do loldamage and risking someone got spiked to death. Cleric Stance? Clearly to help me get through the solo quest content that I have to go through. It cripples my healing, so what else would it possibly be used for?

I've accidentally locked myself into cleric while the tank got his teeth rearranged so many times, it's really emberassing. That's what you get for spamming a button you definitely should NOT spam.
With the way healer dps worked back then people were generally really understanding of healers not daring to dps or the occasional fuck ups caused by turning cleric on at the wrong moment. There was an undeniably higher risk to it then compared to now so I doubt the others were really bothered by you not daring to dps.

I once got into an argument with a tank over the efficacy of Cure 1 versus Cure 2 back when Keeper of the Lake was still fresh content. The guy never died but was understandably frustrated with little nooblet me because I somehow got it into my brain that Cure 1 was better than Cure 2 in every situation because it cast faster. Thus while the tank never died, he came VERY close several times. Needless to say once I realized how stupid I was being I about died of embarrassment.

Another one would be trying to run and explain mechanics in a raid and inevitably dying to those very mechanics because my attention was on typing, and not, you know, actually doing what I was supposed to do. So many rezzes of shame.

Stopped playing for almost 3 years to focus on myself. I always thought that others were toxic and created a bad environment, while I wasn’t. However, now that I just got back to the game, I looked at my post history and realised that I too used to be rude and mean. And I even got upvotes for it. Funny how I could see it in others but was blind to my own behaviour.

I’m just embarrassed to see all my past posts now. Ugh. Which I could just wipe them all away.

But I guess I’ll keep them there as a reminder that I have chosen to grow mature and it needs to remain that way. Hopefully I can be an even better person.

Lost my temper once in Dusk Vigil. Was playing AST back when it's cards had different effects, when I accidentally used an Ewer on the tank, was probably just trying to use it somewhere to get rid of it.
The tank then stopped, and proceeded to give me a lecture into the different card effects, just stopped the dungeon run while we all waited for him. Super patronising, and disruptive for all three of us.
I lost my patience and lashed out, kinda surprised I didn't get reported for it to be honest, given my choice of words. The rest of the run was dead silent.
