Embarrassing confessions-

I have been leveling all of my my secondary characters jobs to 80 recently and when I was leveling DNC I noticed while doing 70+ content, something about by dmg wasn't right. I was doing great in 60 or below.

I go to queue up for Qitana Ravel... and I get the message that my item level is not high enough... and I'm so confused.

I go through all my gear from right side to left side, everything is Augmented Scaeven gear... Cept my weapon which is still the level 60 Augmented Shire.

OOOPS That makes sense. That's why my damage is garbage.

A few months later I'm working on MCH.

Same thing happens again. I notice my damage is crummy in level 70+ content, but I had just been doing really good in the level 60 content.

Go to queue up for Qitana Ravel...

...Item level is not high enough.

Again I am confused. I thought all my gear was good.

All of it was Augmented Scaevan... Except the MOST IMPORTANT PIECE...

I'm sitting there with a level 60 Shire weapon at leave 75 again.

i joined an e7s clear group to help a friend clear when i already had several times before. i know the fight very well, but for some reason i couldn’t play that day and i ended up being the trap. i left the party willingly with an apology, but i still feel embarrassed over it.

As a noob archer, I wouldn't use Quick Nock because I hated the animation (I got over it).

Also when I first started I wanted to be a black mage (which was why I had archer first, back when it needed to be 15 levels or some such of it), and when I got to being a THM, I constantly couldn't figure out why no mana - I technically knew about Transpose, but every time I needed to use it I forgot.

Oh, also, have let Husband-as-Tank die when healing as didn't realise function keys corresponded to the party list and was manually trying to click on him in mobs in dungeons. He has forgiven me.

I'm gonna throw in my own embarrassments and hope I don't get laughed at.

When I'm playing MCH, I sometimes screw up my own rotations and skill set-ups or sometimes pop a potion I never meant to pop. I do have muscle memory, but sometimes it actively works against me.

Bit of a vent confession, if you can call it that. I absolutely hate making giant pulls as a tank, and years of dealing with nonsense in WoW and here to a lesser extent means my trust for pug healers is, in general, extremely low. Even if I know the healer, it's still not something I'm particularly comfortable with. It feels like I'm just surrounded by mobs and praying the dps and heals are all good enough that I'm not literally sitting there waiting to die, even if I know they probably are good enough. Crap happens. And it sucks.

The temptation to just let people deal with mobs on their own when they pull ahead of me or try to rescue yeet me even when I'm literally already sprinting as fast as I can is very high.

The only reason I even play tanks anymore is to work towards the Amaro. At least they have some neat glamour too. :/

I already posted here, but I have another embarrassing confession to make.

My main has always been melee DPS and whenever I run a dungeon for the first time, that's what I run as. So whenever I remember a dungeon, I always remember how as a melee DPS to do it.

Whenever I switch roles, all that goes out the window and I somewhat forget how the dungeon goes. If I run it as a ranged DPS, I might forget where to stand and might get hit by something bad. If I run it as a tank I do a little better, but might forget where to double pull for example.

IDK if this is normal or not.

Muscle memory is huge.

I've been leveling a BLM after running from ARR to Shadowbringers 5.2 as a DRG and it's been... interesting. I keep going to jump but I end up casting Freeze or whatever I have in its spot on my hotbar. It's painful. XD

Went into POTD with a friend the other day because they hadn't completed it on their alt and wanted to give WAR a shot besides. I decided to level my alt's WHM. Cue me accidentally killing her mid-pull by trying to turn down my volume and accidentally switching my monitor to HDMI.

I resubbed to the game like 6 days ago. I think. All I did was log in to get my fantasia out of the mail, another fantasia I bought on impulse. Switched to one of my usual presets, as usual. Haven't played the game since. Didn't even check the new update from.. don't know when. Still, resubbed probably just to occasionally make a fool of myself on this forum. Lurked every other day, sometimes had the urge to post. More of routine than anything else, sucks being locked out of it when unsubbed.
