One life one World Quest ??

please someone tell me how to give my aether to Alphinaud's sister in this quest.I am using keyboard and mouse ,what key or mouse button do i use to give my ether, i know i should
touch her or the sword in her hand but how do i give her aether do i left click right click or use a keyboard button i am a Machinist too.

Ah yes, that infamous fight.

That part the game actually outright lies to you through it's lying GUI teeth. It's not Alisaie you have to give your aether to at all despite what the Duty List tells you, it's the Blade of Light she conjured in front of her that is the real target you need to transfer aether to (that has it's nameplate in white not green that tends to be somewhat obscured by all the glowing particle effects in that battle).

When the game tells you to "give your aether", double click on the Blade of Light quickly (like when clicking on something on the field map like you usually do in quests - double left mouse click or on default keyboard settings Tab key onto the Blade of Light as your target/click on the Blade of Light with the mouse and hit Enter) and it will begin 'interacting' (transferring the aether). Unfortunately you still have 'Arderbert' and his Echo-empowered thugs snapping at your heels, so you may need to beat them back a bit in order to complete the transferrence successfully as Alisaie cannot help fight and Alphinaud can only do so much with Carbuncle to distract them from you. This occurs several times in the battle, so keep a look out for the warning on the screen telling you to do so.

Really, this is actually an easy battle that once you know what you really have to do, becomes more just managing the enemies and keeping watch on the messages.

Either way, yeah this quest is deceiving in what it wants you do to.
