UI Issues - Mouse deactivates? Locked to numpad only when intereacting with UI.

SPECIAL NOTE: This has only been happened since the latest update.

Date & Time: Currently 25/03/20 in UK format

In-game time: Currently 5am but irrelevant
Area and coordinates: Currently Eulmore but also occuring in all other zones.

Steps: (version one)
1. Summon retainer
2. Put items for sale on market
3. When putting in price or quantity the mouse dissapears and cannot select anything. The whole UI becomes stuck in numpad mode.
4. Can use numpad to exit out and mouse function returns but only until repeating steps above or moving onto version two:

Steps: (version two)
1. Open Duty Finder
2. Select "Open Duty Finder Settings"
3. Mouse has dissapeared again. Cannot select anything at all by mouse.
4. Must use numpad to exit out. Mouse returns but only until repeating this or see version one or three.

Steps: (version three)
1. Use either return key or mouse to start typing in chat
2. Mouse has dissappeared. Cannot use mouse to click on anything at all. Cannot interact with any UI at all.
3. Must use ESC key to exit chat window.

To prevent repeating previously attempted troubleshooting, what have you tried to alleviate the problem? Have any changes been made to the device? Also, could you provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.'

Hi! Thank you for responding!

In terms of troubleshooting I've not made any real progress. It was from button spamming that I found that certain UI interactions lock to numpad only (as mentioned above) and of course disables the mouse too. It has only been occuring since the most recent update (the hotfix one not the new content one).

I will do my best to give system info but I have to redact some of it...

FYI, this happens if you press a number pad key (or a number key) while not having a text input slot active (no blinking curser in it) when in a menu with a text input.
It is activating the targeting/navigating system for controller/keypads where it puts the 'cross hair arrow' mark on intractable items, like the retainer summon bell.
You normally don't see the target arrow due to the open menus in line of sight to the summon bell.
Always 'click' the slot to get a curser before you type to prevent this.
If you get 'stuck' in this mode, just spam ESC to clear out the menus and restore to mouse control.

Shori, does this issue happen when a different mouse is being used? Additionally could you try and do a cleanboot? Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

I do not have any alternative mouse. I have been using this mouse for nearly 18 months and is designed to work with FFXIV (it flashed different colours under certain circumstances like flashign red when under attack) so I doubt this mouse is the issue. It doesnt have macro buttons on it or anything like that.

Having said that, the software for it was one of the things disabled in the cleanboot. The cleanboot made no difference.

Update: I can see that whatever is forcing the UI issues is also having an impact on placing houseing items as when picking something up or placing a new item it is stuck in rotating constantly
