    Eternal Bonding

So just something I wanted to suggest, not sure where to stick this since this is my first time ever doing something on a forum, but I noticed that people can only attend a bonding ceremony if they are on the same home world. With how inter connected the world are now with visiting and people making friends on other servers, do you think we can get this changed?

Yes this would combat the issue of folks not wanting transfers.

However, we all know the point of them restricting it to home worlds is to promote transferring in the first place. World Visit already undermines it as it is.

I think Yoshi talk about this in one of the fanfest. it is because of some technical issue and code limitation that was said to be the reason that we are not able to join eternal bonding on other servers.

I would guess that the programming for the invitations, having been set up long before World Visit existed, may not identify which world the ceremony is supposed to take place on.

So if the instruction attached to the invitation is simply "admit this person into the chapel if they speak to the attendant after 3:00 on Saturday", then there is nothing checking that you are on the correct world to attend the ceremony you were invited to. You could accidentally or deliberately crash a complete stranger's wedding because the system can't tell the difference.

I also suspect this is why you can't use linkshells while visiting other servers - if, at an underlying level, the game identifies that you're a member of linkshell #1754 (on World A but that's not recorded in the data), travel to World B and you might suddenly be connected to linkshell #1754 of World B despite not being invited to join.
