Firmament fountains

How is the water getting out of the four outer fountains. I can maybe see that there could be something in the middle part of the center fountain that allows the water out that isn't visible. But the outer fountains I see no holes, no drains or slots. I just see grout and stone with no apparent spot the water leaves the fountains.
