Players spamming Market Board with hundreds of the same item. Please change this.

I have noticed items in the Market Board where a single player uses multiple retainers (and they are definitely the same person because the retainer names are similar) to spam an entire single result with over 100 iterations of the same item at 99 stacks at the same price.

You cannot look at other people's listings on this item and are forced to buy this single player's item at their price point with their stack size or none at all on your server.

You are also unable to post your own items at any price higher than theirs (in a smaller stack) because other players cannot see it.

Why can I only see 100 hits on a single item? Why is there no option to go to the next page? This limitation is allowing people to abuse the system.

Please add a page feature on individual items so that players can bypass Market Board spammers who are trying to force people to buy their listings only.

I'm for people using the market board however they want. Both the buyers and sellers. As you said, the problem here is the 100 hit limit.

We need QoL changes specifically in regards to pages and/or scrolling, if only simply an arbitrary limit removal and a scrollbar. But it would also be nice if we had a retainer blacklist for buying from the MB.

You could just price lower than them, they'd soon get bored of having to update prices on 100 retainers.

    Or just sell something else?

anyone who has that many items is running bots which also automatically lower market boaard item prices every 5 minutes or so.

This is the best advice. When the listings for a specific item are saturated that heavily, whether by one player or multiple players, it's better to start selling something else.

If you are in levelling phase, the best thing to do is to focus on all kind of custom deliveries and grand compagny deliveries without trying to gather a lot of item to sell to the market board, unless you've checked before if it worth trying.

I agree it would be nice to have the possibility to see several pages (as when HQ items end hidden). There is a similar limit when we are looking for recipes in the crafting book and it is sometimes kind of bothering.

And as worldofneil says, if they spam the market like that, the best thing to do is to looking for something else to sell.

Why would you want to sell something at a higher price if there are already 100 items on the market to begin with? What does it matter if players cannot see your overpriced item? They are never going to buy it.

Not true, I have from time to time did mb floods and I don't run any bots but I also usually had different sized stacks if possible. But that's only when I know I can capitalize on a crashing or expanding market. Otherwise I just mix high turnover items and high profit stuff to get a good balance.

Not necessarily overpriced. There are people with multiple retainers who 'abuse' the limitations of the MB listings.

Even when there's constant demand for an at price say,500 gil each. Some can list stacks of 99 and it'll sell.

Someone can also list a stack of 20 at 750 gil each and it'll will also sell as there's demand for smaller stacks.

But here you have people who are aware of the MB listing limitations and are using their army of retainers, so that their competitors listings are not seen.

Of course they are. If I want 8 of an item for a quick craft, one person is selling 99 at 1000 each, another is selling 10 at 2000 each, I'll buy the 10.
