Falcus -- Thanks for trying to help!

Thing is, we're not really bothering too much with hate management to begin with because it's just the two of us, so generally, either he just tries to tank it for as long as it stays, because by the time it finally aggros me, it's just about dead anyway, or I get my him to hold the mobs while I pick them off one by one. I'm used to things attacking me, but what's weird about the incidents I'm reporting is things I haven't taken any action against were attacking me exclusively. It's not so much he couldn't keep hate, it was the mobs were acting like he didn't exist even when I wasn't doing anything and he was using all his hate control abilities. Plus, it's not like we haven't done those leves before or after that, and it's never happened at any other time, which is why I think it was some kind of glitch.

First incident:

Date & Time: Don't remember for the first one, was after the jobs update but before the world merge
Frequency: Once (this time)
Character Name: Moonshade Butterfly
Race: Miqo'te
World: Kashuan
Class/Skill Rank: Conjurer, around lv 27-28
Area and Coordinates: Cassiopeia Hollows...um. Dunno coordinates.
Party or Solo: Party (duo)
NPC Name: N/A
Monster Name: Can't remember, antelope and squirrel from Necrologos: The Boughs Above
In-Game Time: Dunno
Steps:
1. We did Necrologos: The Boughs Above. Friend (GLA) was the one who started the leve.
2. Friend stayed in active mode, I stayed in passive to examine the... shiny bits on the ground.
3. Naturally, enemies automatically aggroed me upon popping, and friend would use Rampart, Flash, and Provoke to get hate. When there are multiple enemies and I can't see which one he's attacking, I would attack the one with damage on it with the assumption that that's the one he's currently fighting (and thus is safe for me).
4. We had one Necrologos page left, and one shiny point of light left, so I buffed up (protect + stoneskin on I think both, done individually).
5. Popped the mobs, one squirrel and two antelopes, and as usual, they swarmed me first, and then friend pulled all three away.
6. I waited a little bit for him to build a bit of hate, and then attacked the squirrel because it was damaged.
7. Turns out it was my mistake, and he was fighting one of the antelopes (let's say antelope #1?), and squirrel was just hit by an AoE. I fought the squirrel anyway, since I figured I can take one mob fine.
8. Spell-wise, I used Stone, Aero, and Thunder to figure out which one(s) did the most damage. I've a fairly bad memory, so I have no idea which ones did, but this is my general practice for most fights, and then I would alternate between the two that did the most damage.
9. Ability-wise, I used Blissful Mind whenever it was available to refill my MP, and activated it to charge whenever the recast timer ran out. I would use Necrogenesis and/or Second Wind to refill the HP I lost from that.
10. Towards the end of the squirrel fight, I noticed my HP was dropping very quickly. I actually totally didn't notice until then that antelope #2 was attacking me. Friend told me it did that near the start of the battle already, when I attacked the squirrel.
11. I finished off the squirrel, and spent the rest of the time trying to keep myself alive.
12. I attacked the antelope (antelope #2) maybe once or twice near the start, before friend finished up with antelope #1. Can't remember the spell used, but likely either stone or aero, whichever worked well on the squirrel earlier.
13. Friend finished antelope #1, and started attacking antelope #2 (the one that was attacking me). He used Flash, Provoke, and whatever else he had (I have no idea?).
14. I stopped attacking and tried to survive while generating as little enmity as I could. Plus I was very low on MP at that point. I used Second wind when it was available, but aside from that, just used Cure on myself when it was absolutely necessary. Friend tried to use Cure on me as well.
15. We finished the battle, and friend told me the enmity gauge on the antelope never once even budged from green, no matter what he threw at it.

Second incident:

Date & Time: April 1, 2012, a few hours before I made the post up there
Frequency: Twice (this time)
Character Name: Moonshade Butterfly
Race: Miqo'te
World: Hyperion
Class/Skill Rank: Conjurer, lv 39
Area and Coordinates: Bald Knoll, very close to the Aethryte camp
Party or Solo: Party (2 people)
NPC Name: N/A
Monster Name: Dirty Mongrel (x2 I think), and... something Ewe? (x4)
In-Game Time: No idea
Steps:
1. Defense leve! Can't remember exactly which one. This one I think I started.
2. Near the defense point, I buffed us (Protect, and Sacred Prism + Stoneskin)
3. We went to the defense point, a Dirty Mongrel popped, and friend grabbed it. And then it saw me and changed its mind and started attacking me (before I even attacked). I didn't think much of it at this point and we took it easily.
4. We rebuffed (again, Protect and Sacred Prism + Stoneskin) after the battle and rested up.
5. Next, 4 ewes popped. I think these initially went to me, but friend grabbed them? Can't remember. I do remember they were all attacking him near the start already.
6. I attacked one that had damage on it, since there were so many I couldn't tell which one friend was grabbing. Again, I used my normal method of trying out Stone, Aero, and Thunder to find out which one(s) did the most.
7. Suddenly, all 4 ewes started attacking me, even the one my friend should have had lots and lots of enmity on. I stopped attacking and tried to wait for my friend to grab hate back, except same thing as before happened, they pretty much completely ignored him.
8. I died and returned. Since camp was so close, I decided to run back right away so I can at least help support and get exp.
9. By the time I got back to the battle, there were still 3-4 ewes, and plus 2 mongrels. I cast Cure on him once and stood back. Suddenly, the mongrels all attacked me and then the sheep followed. And then I died again.
10. Returned, came back again. This time, I did not take any action at all. I just stood there. And then suddenly, everything turned away from my friend and attacked me. And killed me again.
11. I returned again, and stood farther off, and then the defense duration ran out and the leve ended.

There was another defense leve that had something similar where things were completely ignoring my GLA friend to attack me, but they didn't live long enough for me to really find out, for that one.
