Idea: Premium Wards

Well this is a fun suggestion when so many people are losing their jobs and incomes to coronavirus...

This is an awful idea OP, housing should be for everyone, not just the mogstation whales. Should we also give premium access to other content like dungeons, raids etc.

I dont know if you are being serious but I never spend a dime on drugs, alcohol or even gambling for that manner. I don't even go to movie theater. What the heck is this kind of reasoning?

I don't like OP's idea and I don't do anything that person listed either. Doing those things would mean going outside...and well that's something I tend to avoid doing

I actually could afford to pay the fees OP suggests but I dislike the idea on principle. We already pay a sub, and we pay for the base game and expansions. Putting another fee on top of that for access to playable content (which we're already paying for!) is venturing into the realms of what you would expect from a free to play game. I understand why those games have fees for many features, they need to make money somehow. But with FFXIV SE already get money from us if we even just want to log in. On top of that they have a very successful cash shop. To say the least it would cause massive controversy if something like OP's idea got introduced. And rightly so.

The housing situation certainly needs improvement, but OP's idea is not the way to do it.

The type of reasoning it's not surprising to see from someone who has multiple service accounts so they can hoard a limited resource and shut other players out while coming up with excuses on why they should have it and others shouldn't.

OT, if the ishgard restoration effort has finally built the housing district and its wards or (hopefully) improved apartment complex, will the restoration effort stop and transfer to other war torn locations (e.g. ala mhigo, mor dona, or doma)where housing can be established?

Or will the ishgard restoration effort just continue to in effect add more wards or apartment complex wings?

Of course this is supposing that the ishgard restoration is also aimed at the housing aspect of the game apart from just end game content for crafters and gatherers.

Hello. I strongly oppose the idea of premium wards. I've also never once in my life done drugs, drank alcohol, gambled, or have any sort of other 'questionable dependence', and I've had plenty of opportunities. So what now?

I know you get Big Mad because you're some kind of housing royalty or whatever, but let's refrain from just outright bizarre and nasty claims like that. Trying to discredit people who disagree with the OP's suggestion by calling them drug addicts or whatever is pretty dirty. Have some integrity.

So what now? Maybe reflect on what hasn't been mentioned directly. The list of questionable addiction can be as long as you want it to be. Believing that most people in this thread are speaking the truth, including yourself, is statistically impossible. I don't care if you're a drug addict or anything else, we're all flawed. Might want to use some introspection, because there's no way you or anyone else in here is always questioning themselves when they purchase something.
