Maintanance notices

I was just wondering why the maintanance notice for todays emergancy maintanance was never posted on the EU lodestone. It seems a bit short sighted not to put that on all regions lodestone (first I knew about it was ingame after I went AFK then came back to a system message.

Also was it just configuration and macros fixed? Some people from my linkshell were commenting on how the game looked different somehow, but couldn't quite put thier finger on it.

And a final off topic question perhaps a rep could answer. Why is the Culinary creation contest NA only, seems like EU get screwed over with alot whether its (I know this again) every maintanance during EU primetime, or EU not getting to enter a contest.

I think these contests should be for all regions not just NA, or atleast have some EU only contests.

And while I am on the random questions, Why does my character still say I'm on Mysidia on the forums? Not that I mind too much, I loved Mysidia I'm just curious.

Please allow me to answer some of your questions. First of all, regarding today's emergency maintenance, the corresponding news was published on the English (EU) Lodestone as well and can be found here. There may have been however a small delay between the release of the US English news and EU English one, I am really sorry for the inconvenience.

As for contests, some of them will be region based, meaning that Japan, North America or Europe may run different contests, at a different time frame and with different prizes. More contests are scheduled to come for the EU Region, so stay tuned and check forums often

Finally, regarding your World still being Mysidia, this is most likely a browser cache issue. A good way to solve this (besides clearing your browser cache) is to open your forum profile > choose the Characters tab (the World stated there should be correct) > press your browser back button and refresh the thread you were reading. Your World should now be displayed correctly

I have a question about this "delay" between languages. Below is a post I made at 01:04 (EST) on the 27th, regarding the lodestone announcement of the maintenance extension. It seemed that the US was the only lodestone that was updated with the extension, for quite a while (long enough for me to realize what was going on, throw together this image, and post it).

Even looking now, I see that there appears to be a huge gap between the times of the posts! :/ Is this going to keep happening? It took me a long time to realize that people were telling the truth about the extension, it was kind of embarrassing.

Oh, yeah, this one sneaked by me. Was a shame that some people couldn't figure out or follow instructions on how to fix the problem though. Was, however, avoidable and hope it doesn't happen again. o_O

Heya Youmukon thanks for the reply,

I was checking lodestone through the maintanance and that page never seemed to be on the top page, after numerous refeshes also This post shows someone else who couldn't see the information on the lodestone, and I know this paticular player plays in EU, because they are in my linkshell, this was posted at 10:35pm, which shows that maintanance notice didnt seem to get on the top page of the EU lodestone.

Its nice to hear that some contests will be region based (Please give EU events better rewards than NA so I can rub my LS's face in it )

What does that mean? I mean, my country IS listed in the country list and they do take my payments fropm my south american credit card... I find this to be a little bit wrong >_>
