Orchestrion Rolls - Confusing to Collect em' All

Greetings Community!

I've been a fellow player since 2.0 was released, and this is my first ever post on the forums! I've found myself compelled to make this post because I think the process for collecting Orchestrion Rolls can be improved; specifically, rolls that require purchase from a vendor.

First I want to talk about the pain points..

• If you are like me, you probably remember the music from the game based on where you heard it. For example.. Four-sided Circle may not ring any bells to you at first, but if I said "Gold Saucer Theme", you'd understand what I was talking about. That leads to my first problem, Orchestrion Roll descriptions do not include where they are heard.
• Since there is not a direct correlation between the name of the roll and location, it's also difficult to cross-reference your in-game Orchestrion Roll collection. If you don't know the name of the Gold Saucer theme song, how are you supposed to find it? Since there are so many now, it's very difficult to filter through them.
• When you have to exchange your precious currency for an Orchestrion Roll, how would you know if you've already collected it? What's worse is the game will allow you to exchange it for as many as you want, even if you've already collected it. This is also circles back to the last two points. The rolls are sold as the name of the song, and doesn't provide any context on where it's collected, how are you able to cross-reference your collection easily?
• The answer to all my problems is to use a third party website, app or excel sheet. But is that really a good solution?

So let's discuss the good things..

• Holy crap it's awesome that you can collect most, if not all, the music you can listen to in-game
• You can play any song or create a playlist for your estate using the Orchestrion! NEAT!
• You can trade or sell them on the market to make a little extra gil on the side
• Reprisals of songs not featured in-game can be purchased from the Mog Station

There are two solutions I'd like to see..

• Orchestrion Roll tool-tips should include where it's heard in-game inside the description. (Ex. "Gold Saucer Theme" for Four-sided Circle)
• Orchestrion Roll tool-tips should include an indicator if you've collected the item or not

So those are my thoughts.. sorry if that sounds confusing. I'm pretty passionate about this topic as it's brought me much pain trying to collect. What is everyone elses thoughts?

I just happen to be in the Mog Station and looking at "Ominous Prognisticks (Orchestral Version) Orchestrion Roll". They provide a preview with a group fighting Calcabrina. From looking at the picture one may conclude that this is the theme to the Calcabrina fight. Since the description doesn't say otherwise, and there is no preview of the song available in the store, this may lead someone to make a purchase they didn't intend. I think we can do better here as well.

Some of those here may not know that if you look at your orchestrion collection in-game, you can select ones you don't have and they will tell you how to find them.

This needs to be on ALL 'learnable' items. Rolls, minions, TT cards, hairstyles, master books, etc. "Have I learned this" is a MUCH more useful piece of information than "is there one currently in my inventory." It is utterly baffling to me that 6+ years in that still isn't a thing.

I also have this problem at times specially when it's raid scrolls you rarely see so you have to check to see if you have it yet or not. I'm glad they've made more sections in the list. I guess my thing is i'd like to know how it's bought or sold by who if it's a shop and not a drop from a trial/raid/dungeon.

I always feel a bit bad when I need on a roll that I apparently already had collected.

Honestly, even just a 'search' field in the Orchestrion Log so you can check if you have a particular roll—or to find the track later, since even when I know the name I don't necessarily know whether they put it in Locales or Other or what—would be great.

Or, while we are at it, add an option to the Orchestrion Log to show only missing rolls, this would make completing the Log so much easier.

A description would be nice for sure. For the longest time I wanted the Ishgard entry theme. Who would have thought the orchestration is called "Solid"?

Also not a huge fan of having some rolls be seasonal one time exclusives with the only other alternative being the mogstation. Granted, I'm thankful they at least offer it through mogstation just in case you couldn't obtain it. But I'd rather see them all obtainable in-game at any time instead being seasonal. Example, I started playing during Stormblood, but my favorite expansion is HW. Absolutely love everything about it. So I really want the "Heavansward" roll, but since it was seasonal, my only other option is directly off mog.

This has been on my mind as well. A lot of the titles are spoiler free and don't give a single hint as to where they could come from, like Insanity. But without a preview or hint like, say "Obtained from Crown of the Immaculate" you may have to search online which, for a PS4 player, is a lot less convenient unless they have 2 screens, a phone, or use the janky PS4 browser.

I think it would be a massive QoL addition for collectors or just people who want to La HEE but would not know how to piece it together to "Civilizations." Field themes though, I think can get away with just being hinted as "Obtained via bi-colored gemstones" or something. But for bosses and raids, I certainly would like to see the spoiler free origin like Liminal Space.
