Retainers are fine has they are. What you ask is to have some kind of inventory bank as it is in many MMO and that's so boring. And not really more comfortable since MB is independant from the inventory bank. Somehow, FF system is more comfortable.

The inventory system in this game is one of the worst I've had to deal with in my time playing MMOs. I've played games where the amount of space you get is laughable, but even constantly having to clear out my bags was less irritating than clicking through 15 menus and searching through four different bags every time I want to grab something that isn't in my own bag. It's awful.
Would love an actual search bar in the bags... /Isearch only gets you so far when your eyesight is as godawful as mine. I have to squint and mouse over the icons to find crap half the time, even knowing which tab it's in. If there's a way to make the bag bigger I'd love to hear it but a search bar would definitely make my life easier.
Idk about mobile retainer access, not that I'd mind it really, but I'd definitely like to see some general improvements to how clunky and inefficient the retainer system is. At least give me an option to skip all of their dialogue and either make yes the default answer for exiting the menus, or get rid of that prompt entirely. :/

I am a negative on the mobile retainer. But I would like retainer to vanish. They are a left over to some degree from 1.0 and not a good one. I would just like to see one interface for inventory like the FC chest. They can still charge for extra space, lets not kill the cash cow. Next rebuild the MB so it is separate and you post at the board or an NPC standing right next to it. Again if SE wants to tie extra slots to increase sub so be it. The player base likes giving them more money, lets just make it better. Finally move ventures into squadrons making squadrons more valuable. Or just keep retainer bell and we just use them for ventures.
Anyone who thinks the system is good now. Doesn't have to check 60 to 120 MB listings to see how the price has moved and reprice. Or balanced inventory over a two retainers. Is this a pressing matter, not really. Would I like to see a quality of life improvement over NG+, yes please.

Trying to sort stuff between inventory, retainers and saddle bag is just awful yeah. Without mobile bells, if I could right click on any item and "sent to XXX inventory" that's be a pretty good step.Anyone who thinks the system is good now. They could also review items actually. There is so much stuff next to useless as the years go by, which could do with consolidation. Trial / raid tokens should not eat an intetory slot. Fishing baits too. Dye should be a system on its own. If dungeons are going to throw up stuff in my face, then the Arsenal should have either more space or another way of sorting it... I'd like improvement in this regard, rethinking how things could get streamlined to relieve a bit of space.

All stuff that has been brought up before SE refuses to lower inventory bloat. They actually design around it and then when questioned it is always some sort of limitation. Beast tribe tokens used to sit in inventory. So instead of just making one token and making the items be rep based they were worried that someone would be able to buy a whole bunch of items from one tribe. No beast tribe item is so valuable they have to worry, and no the mats for ixal and moogles was just a way to slow down people from getting some gear. They also refuse to allow old mats to die meaning people would only have to hold new mats for one expansion. Or even just move most of that bloat to a simple vendor. Look at beetle glue made a big come back.
We should also expect some sort of defense of this awesome system in a few posts.
Yes, can do. And please do. I'm fine with them being seperate as long as I had the option to link to the market board from my items being sold to see how my current up-for-sale item is priced compared to what's currently being offered and what it has gone for in the past.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're asking for, but you can already check the price of an item you're wanting to put on the market board. Click on the button in the top right corner of the window that's used to set the price.Yes, can do. And please do. It'll also allow you to check the sale history of the item.
I want to be able to do this from my retainer. If I need to adjust the price of an item that isn't selling, I currently have to walk to a MB to check the price, then walk back to my bell to change it.
No, i believe you can do this when clicking on sell item from inventory or retainer... just click on ur listed item and click adjust price right from retainer and click the little icon on the top right that say “ check pricing” or something like that.. that shows how much people are selling it for.
