Cannot log in Error 1012

Hi,

Earlier tonight I disconnected mid-synth in the Firmament on Balmung and since then I have been getting an error upon trying to reach the character selection screen, it also happens when I select a different data center from my own (Crystal). Specifically, the error is: A version update is required. Select OK and launch the game again. 1012

I already downloaded March 17th's patch and was playing a lot after that before my disconnect in the Firmament a few hours ago. I have already tried uninstalling the game files, and deleting the character config files (after making a backup). No matter what I do, the server will not let me past the main screen into character selection. Any help or reassurance knowing I'm not the only one experiencing this right now would be great.

I'm on PC, Windows 10, and fully updated on FFXIV. I don't see how disconnecting would remove files from the game, and even then there is no patch when I completely close the game down and try to log back in.

A full uninstall and reinstall solved my issue and I'm able to log in. I'm not sure if that's actually what fixed it, or if something was going on with the servers that prevented me from logging in, but all is well as of now.
