Lmao I regularly find myself like “Freeee meee!!!” when I’m scrambling to get out of my retainer to go commence my popped q.

It’s a step up from the previous way of summoning retainers, I’m just still muscle memory locked into the old ways.

You can commence duties while still in your retainer. It'll suck you into the instance.

it is rather annoying though ff in general is famous for over clicking and bizarre menus, is the same in ffxi. they do need to learn to streamline ffrom the get go. not wait 5 years then try to fix an obvious overkill bad design.

I'll blame consoles for that partially.

One of my biggest criticisms about FFXIV has always been its interface. It's like decades behind the competition.

I tried FF11 and managed to get it to download, get through the Playonline nonsense but the menu and control system is a terrible. You can tell it used to be a console game. Instead of new content they should be refing the menu and control for modern PCs. I'd wager they would get more players.

Probably my favourite feature of ShB is the light menu option.

Yea it was designed initially for the PS2 it was out for a year in Japan before they ported over to PC later. Just like FFXIV it is designed around the console.

ALthough to give credit to FFXI it was available on PS, XbOX 360, and PC so it did have that going for it.

I suppose we could also have: Press W key, and see a confirmation box that says "Do you want to move forward? Yes / No."
