Assuming you can get to a store to pick up new games.
490 seems fair, Tome weapons are very easy to get too. The stormblood Relic was pretty much irrelevant until Hydatos and most people did it just for something to do and the other rewards, I saw very few actually glam them. Due to weapon damage being such an important stat, it's unlikely that a 490 would compete with Savage weapons.
He is speaking from experience. The reason all Raid weapons are 5 ilevels higher than the raid/augmented tomestone gear is due to the 2.0 i90 BCoB weapons not being desirable over the i90 Relic weapons and 3.05's i210 Gordian Weapons not being desirable over the i210 Augmented tomestone weapons.

Yep. Relics were originally supposed to be on par with savage weapons each tier, requiring a much longer and time consuming, but easier grind to get. But the raiders were upset and SE dialed it back so relics only became equal at the final step.He is speaking from experience. Sadly, it makes the grind kinda useless for anything but glam if they follow the Eureka path. Tome gear shouldn't be stronger than the relics.

To be fair, Savage is significantly more difficult than grinding out tomes. So... it's a fair complaint. It also renders the Augmented Tome weapons worthless since why spend a 1,000 tomes when that weapon gets replaced probably before you even upgrade the thing?Yep. "Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."

Tome gear should be weaker than savage gear, definitely. Relic gear I think should depend on how long it takes to grind out.
