    Launcher -214669721 HTTPS System error

    Good day,

We're 2 ffxiv players at home and since yesterday we can't access the game. When opening the launcher, we're having this message:

A system error has occurred: -2146697211. HTTPS System Error.

We can't either access from our browsers any ffxiv website (Lodestone, MogStation, etc.), not even by WiFi with out phones. I'm writing here using my phone data.

We've searched on the Internet long and far for solutions but none has solved the problem so far. We've attempted the following multiple times:

    - Restart PC
    - Add Final Fantasy to Trusted Site List
    - Disable Web Protection and Firewall
    - Reset Modem
    - Flush DNS
    - Delete FFXIV_BOOT.cfg

One of us even tried to reinstall the game but since we need to access the launcher to download the game, it didn't work.

We both have different PC specifications, except that we both use Windows 10 and Steam clients.

I've already opened a ticket but since I didn't received a notification that my ticket has arrived, I'm afraid it didn't even work at all.

If anyone has any further ideas/solutions or has faced this issue already, we'd appreciate any suggestions.

    Thanks in advance.

My bf has the same problem. Worse than that, he deleted the cfg file that was an advised solution, and then the screen turned black......now its blue and it says to register or sign up but the buttons dont work. This is all through steam, also happening today whilst last night game worked fine.

He tried uninstalling and reinstalling and nothing works.
I also have the game through steam and its all fine. He updated everything there was and it still doesnt work.

I'll see if I figure out how to use a VPN. Thanks for the comment Sekker!

Guys we found a solution here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/39210...6/?l=hungarian

If you dont want to open the link Ill just copy paste the answer:

Upgrade Internet Explorer to latest version or try this: ""Go to My Documents, then My Games and find the FFXIV folder, in there open FFXIV_BOOT with notepad and where it says "EulaAgreement 0" change the value to 1. It will skip the EULA agreement and straight to login.""

(No nevermind its just a black screen again but might work for some of you I dont know anymore)

We still haven't found how to set a VPN. If you don't mind sharing some of your knowledge we'd appreciate it Sekker.

Also thanks for the heads up Sassy, any bit of info is always welcome. Maybe for someone it do makes a difference, although it haven't worked for me. We'll keep on looking and sharing info if we find something.

Update: our phone company confirmed there's problems with the Internet service in our area. It seems there's nothing we can really do but wait. Since everyone is at home, our Internet provider is saturated, I guess.

    Hope this info helps anyone.

I used Mudfish, on his website there is information. Try ping ur server IP and website IP from ur computer. If you have many packets lost isnt working yet.

To ping thr IP from ur server u open the console, cmd on windows and put: IP of server /t, for the website: domain /t

If there is many packet lost ir net cant reach the server so u will need to wsit for ur ISP to fix it or try a VPN.

Im almost downliading back the game as i re-installed it just in case.

Good morning and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

We apologize for the delay in our response.

Since the issue seems to be with the ISP, I'd recommend contacting their support for further assistance. As such, this thread will be moved to Separate Support Required.

Thank you for visiting the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.
