Viera, hairstyles and the lack of love.

Can you please make a statement on this? Do you have any intention of releasing new/old hairstyles for Viera? I would love to play a viera but the lack of customization is beyond infuriating now. We've been begging since 5.X landed to at least have access to the Modern Aesthetics hairstyles as some of these are legitimate rewards from certain content (PotD, etc) and Viera players cant even use them. Nor is their any indication to warn the player that it isn't usable on their race should they proceed with buyingcertain hairstyles via wolf marks, MGP, etc.. It is just expected that the player know this.
But to top it all off, I dont understand why brand new hairstyles that had to be created for all the other races too some how dont apply to Viera? Why is that? I understand why they cant be used for Hrothgar, and thats a whole other ball game, but seriously, Viera faces are not any different from Miqote or Au'ra really and yet those races get access to the new hairstyles.

I realize this has been asked countless times before but its quite frustrating as a player to not have any word from you as to why this issue even needs to exist.
Please tell us verbatim: do you have plans to add these in the near future; yes or no?

(To my fellow players, excuse my frustration and rant, but we're all thinking it and it needs to be said as many times as is necessary until we get an answer)

To be fair both those particular lines of design nonsense are on SE, and one does not preclude people from complaining about the other. SE botched both races pretty hard.

I believe they have addressed this. Originally Yoshi-P said they’d incorporate any old styles they could. Then they seemed to change it to “new and unique racial styles only”.

Then in the most recent art stream (a week ago or so) he said that he understands that the situation isn’t good, that they are working on it, and to please have patience.

We still have a few more of those official videos to go as well that they’ve been releasing every week about the making of ShB. They will probably have one that centered around character design, and hopefully we will understand a bit better from that. Though I’m just speculating on that part.

A bit more transparency, a light at the end of the tunnel so to speak, would definitely be appreciated though. Your frustration isn’t unfounded or unshared.

I have a sneaking suspicion that it might be due to the placement of stuff like corsages on Viera, while their heads aren’t much different, they’ve seem to place the headgear quite far off their heads, so the placement only looks right with their normal “poofy” hairstyles. Normal Aesthetician hairstyles may be too flat for it to look right, although they should just implement the hairstyles anyway.

I think we see more complaints about viera because it is the more popular race of the two, and because it is clear that hrothgar have a unique head shape and posture, while viera do not. Adapting hairstyles for viera is really not much different to adapting them to miqos. Yet for some reason they see new hair, while viera don't.

It's a different story for hrothgar. A lot of current hair cannot work on them without some big changes. That doesn't excuse locking hair to faces though. I still am in awe of how stupid that decision is.

They did say in the livestream that they're aware and in agreement that the current situation is bad and they're working hard to fix it, so at least there's that.

I had some hopes for 5.1, then a little bit of hope for 5.2.
