I think it needs to be worded more clearly. Or maybe it is clear, maybe more clearerer then. Using a quality increasing ability under IQ increases the stack by one. So I understand that it says "additional effect" and that using an ability that increases quality is 1 and the additional effect is 1. But all abilities increases it by 1! So you might glance over it and think "Okay it increases it by one!". No its two! Damnit its two.




How about this:


Precise Touch
Increases quality.
Increases Inner Quiet stack by two (up to 11)


There now is no "additional" tag needed. Its now more clear. Clearer* rather.

It wouldn't be correct. The IQ buff already gives a stack for each quality progression you make. There are certain actions that add another stack on top of this. As is the case with Precise touch. If the tooltip said Precise Touch increases it by two then you would gain three stacks of IQ upon success. An ability like that would definitely be tied to a lower success rate.

The issue is that normally, the Inner Quiet stack is from the actual Inner Quiet buff itself, causing almost all Touch actions to generate a stack.

The only way to clarify it would be remove the effect from Inner Quiet itself and instead put the text: "Additional Effect: If under the effect of Inner Quiet, increase its stack by one (up to 11)" onto every touch skill that is relevant.

Then on Precise Touch you'd then use "Additional Effect: If under the effect of Inner Quiet, increase its stack by two (Up to 11)"

There's no need for clarification, y'all just need to learn to apply some critical thinking.

Inner quiet increases by 1 (up to 11) for every successful touch action.

Those actions, when successful, increase inner quiet by 1.

It's not saying instead, they wouldn't write the effects of another buff in a random action's tooltip, it just does as it says.

You have 3 stacks. Prepared touch is successful, thereby increasing quality by X and increasing inner quiet by 1, to 4.
There was a successful touch action, therefore inner quiet increases by 1, to 5.

And even if there's any amount of confusion, it takes 5 seconds to pull up a practice recipe and click the buttons. Trying to word skills by what's going to happen unrelated to their own context introduces far more confusion than it would solve.
