    And people in this thread react as if we're asking for some impossible difficulty.

    Someone posted a poll where people voted whether they'd like to see changes happen to lvl 50 raids and the majority wants changes.
    The only people that aren't concerned are those that are always in a big rush and Square Enix.
    First, you assume that it's not fun for some people to feel powerful and blast through certain enemies, especially in such a setting as an alliance raid. Second, if it's fun, then you wouldn't have problem convincing people. The poll means nothing since you said it yourself that you can't reliably get people to lower their item level to make the encounter harder.

    The other solution would be to do a daily PF for alliance raid if you want like-minded individuals who want a fun, challenging experience in alliance raid.

    I think I've gotten Weeping city three times I'm the last year. Void ark... maybe three or four. Dun Scaith I'll be generous and say I've gotten it *maybe* ten times. Same with Orbonne, which I think I've gotten more often than any other raid in that series. Basically I can count on one and *maybe* two hands the number of times I've gotten any ONE of a raid that isn't in the Crystal Tower series.

    More difficult doesn't have to mean savage level hard. I'd just like to have a roulette that actually has a bit more variety to it - a change that either makes it so you can't cheese your way into CT or that makes it less unappealing to get anything else for the people who see it that way. Even if that means just boosting the exp from higher level raids. :/

    Yes that would help tremendously. They do it with Praetorium and Castrum. They should do it with 60/70 and soon to be 80 raids in that roulette (unless that's already happened not sure).

    Poking a monster for 2 minutes with barely anything happening around makes someone feel powerful? You do you, I guess, but I feel like I'm gonna fall asleep when nothing poses any threat or challenge in a fight.

    I said this before but why exactly should players do SE's job for them? We pay for their game, it's on them to keep content fun and relevant to both old and new players.

    As a result, there are people who would drop out of one or the other, depending on if they prefer a shorter run or more experience. Thankfully, both duties are easy enough even without a full party. Imagine increasing the difficulty of alliance raids and then having people drop in and out to try to get another raid. Just because it's not Savage level of difficulty doesn't mean an alliance raid can't be derailed by people leaving.

    You do you and others will do others...lol. That's the point.

    Because SE is not the one seeing a need for change (as far as I know, they could announce the change for 5.3). You pay for their game, but so do other people that may not agree with you, both old and new players.

    I'm not asking them to change the difficulty just the rewards so cheesing ilevel wouldn't be so prevalent. We lost another dungeon every other patch to free up developer time to do other things and believe me this isn't something the community would like to see them spend their extra time on in my humble opinion.

    Well, the person you quoted asked for an increase in difficulty and having increased reward to compensate. Increasing reward alone might help people not to avoid it, or it might not depending on why they avoid it in the first place and it still wouldn't solve the problem when you do get lower level raids for people who have problem with them now.

    I agree with many here, Alliance Raid Roulette could be so much more fun if it wasn't Crystal Tower all the time.
    On top of that is that Crystal Tower is so facerolling easy, it gets very boring and tedious. Nobody really needs to care for mechanics anymore, sometimes people wipe because of a Ancient Flare, but that's it.
