I'm actually loving this whole new personal effect concept with the parasols. I love the angelic and demonic outfits, but I hope one day we get to receive personal effect angel and demon wings in the near future. ^_^ Would anyone else enjoy this?

Honestly I loved the parsol until I got one and realized it removes my minion and you can't sit on it are do any emotes while holding it kind of kills the point of having the nice effect when you can't do anything with it.

Yeah, I still don't understand why they sunk dev time into this. Seems like such an oddball feature.
It's basically a mount, that's how its coded anyway.

Players have supposedly been asking for it for a long time. And, now that the tech is largely in place, it provides what should be a much simpler/easier collectable item for them to plunk into various forms of content than creating an endless stream of new minions and mounts. Just create a new appropriate skin for the umbrella top and maybe tweak the handle a little and, boom, new thing to drive engagement in content.

I can understand not wanting it personally, or just not being completely happy with the current implementation (which may improve given time, just as "old" emotes are being added to sitting/mounted use now), but it's pretty easy to see why they added the feature.

Not to de rail the thread, but I feel the opposite. The parasols feel like wasted dev time to me and I really hope they never add wings(it would feel like a Korean mmo at that point).

If we get wings as mounts, does that mean they edit the angel and demon coats to remove the inbuilt wings? Because that would convince me to buy at least one of them. They're lovely elegant coats but the huge wings ruin the look of them (even if it is the look they're going for!).

I'm not sure how much dev time went into them, as there were definitely some NPCs that already used them. It might be something they rigged up to work with NPCs first and weren't sure if it would work for players, but then people were asking for it so they made it available.

It is kind of an odd feature, that super confused me because I couldn't figure out why my minion was invisible for a hot minute lmao

But I'd really just want more color variations, maybe something that's a bit more of an... I dunno, elegant parasol? Like those paper ones with the flower print on them. Maybe a leaf parasol (loved that in Aion) or like one of those moogle flowers (the big glowy pink ones)

If it's not too much trouble to add em, might as well give more options for the feature

I know they work like mounts, but I still wanna have gposes were like my character is holding their umbrella like the warrior axe
