If you're learning, I really think SAM/RDM/BRD/MCH would work with you.

DRG is easy to punish, it's an "on-cooldown" job.
SAM, RDM and MCH are "Resources" based job meaning they build up their gauges and unleash it at the moment they desire the most.

MCH doesn't have many buttons but the most APM.
SAM has a quite high APM but it's a pretty straight forward rotation.
RDM is beginner friendly, not hard to play, little buttons, you basically build up your gauge with spells, go melee once it's high enough then rinse and repeat.

If you're coming back from WoW and are used to WoW proc based job, BRD could do the trick for you. The main goal is to maintain DoTs and to use procs for specific skills. Maintaining procs might require some practice as you may forget it at the beginning.
Ninja, I don't know much after its rework but I think it's still one of the most complex jobs right now. The Mudras are something to get a hang of, then you have your gauge, then maintaining Fûton, then the Trick Attack... Not beginner friendly in my opinion.
