I already have a house. Two, technically, if you count my FC house as well. If I can't log in for whatever reason within a 45 day period then I'd be fine with losing them so that someone who can login can make use of them instead.
It's also entirely possible to feel genuine concern for other people. I'm not here trying to virtue signal. I'm just trying to show support for what I would consider to be a nice gesture. But yeah, the person you are responding to here is coming off as a bit...abrasive. That isn't helping things.
I'm sorry I offended you by pointing out that you are clearly showing you do not care about those who are negatively impacted by a global issue.
If you don't like having this pointed out about you may want to stop flippantly repeating "they got other things to worry about" when others point out that an incredible amount of people are going to be unable to log in due to no fault of their own. And some of those people are saving our lives, including your own even though you seem so ungrateful for it.
I don't know what else you expect us to think of you? You're not even suggesting any remotely decent alternatives. Your whole argument seems to be "they can't log in? tough, they got other things to do anyway". You're just shrugging your shoulders in the face of those whose lives are getting ruined by a global crisis.
You're the one placing this label on me. Not once did I say I was anymore tolerant than every body else.
It's quite sad that you're trying to use my compassion for others as a tool to shame me. This says a lot of things about you which are plainly not good.
I'm not sure why you're pointing this out. I never said I had any difficulty accessing the game or forum. Bad attempt at deflecting I suppose. I guess this is what you do when all your arguments have run dry.
Isn't it is just easier if you go and tap your house door right now and to be risk free for 45 days instead of arguing on fourm here?
45 days is more than enough when most of the countries are issuing 14 days lock down

Somehow you don't realise some here are arguing on behalf of those who are unable to right now.
I don't need to be personally affected by the lack of a demolition suspension to support having one. Which is seemingly an alien concept for some people.
I am unable to see that is what people trying to do when they bring up bull craps of losing income, etc when government of US/Canada is issuing care package to cover that
Answer me, if both Japanese and Chinese can hold it this long, what makes us English/Canada special?
If there is any FF14 player and owning house out there hospitalized, it is our best act to wish their best instead of arguing here.
If you are a current house owner, go tap the house door now and be 45 days risk free.

Up until the past week or so people were not sure what aid was coming to those in the US, if any aid was coming at all. It's hard for anything to get approved when both the house and senate are at odds with one another. Luckily today there are signs of improvement. Nothing like fellow party members catching the virus to add some sense of urgency I suppose. Hopefully there will be another vote within a couple of days and hopefully it actually gets approved this time. Even then though, the financial aid is probably not coming right away. It might take some time still with all the red tape. It's not as simple as you seem to think it is, as much as I wish otherwise.I am unable to see that is what people trying to do when they bring up bull craps of losing income, etc when government of US/Canada is issuing care package to cover that

I don't know, I am hardly convinced that people are taking this epidemic serious right now when there are people partying on the beach in the Spring Break.Up until the past week or so people were not sure what aid was coming to those in the US, if any aid was coming at all. It doesn't seem they are worry about losing job, but that is just me.
Especially when Chinese is able to go through 3 months lock down and S/E did nothing at that time.
Like I said, these people can try but their points are hardly convincing; but would be nice to stop doing point the finger tactic by accusing those who doesntt agree because they want a house.

Those kids partying on our beaches right now are one of many reasons why I don't want to live on this planet anymore. I don't care if Mars is a desert and has little to no atmosphere, I want to live there now.
I don't doubt that some people are genuine about their concerns. Some posters, however, have an established track record in positioning themselves in a very vocal manner as being so much better and virtuous than everybody else.
An excellent example would be a vocal poster within this very thread who branded everyone in support of hiding glamour in another thread as a 'bigot' for daring to have a different opinion and tastes to their own.
Mysteriously that was also something that didn't affect the poster in question on a personal level by their own admission.
It's entirely up to Square Enix to work out whether or not pausing the housing demolition process is a worthwhile move. I'm sure they have the appropriate data at hand to see how many players are logging in. Given that a significant number of people have been told to stay at home I'm inclined to believe that most FFXIV players will have no issue getting online at least once in a forty five day period in order to ensure the timer does not affect them.
They'll also need to decide whether it'll be a global or regional thing given that different regions are being affected to greater extents than others. We'll see how things progress in the coming days/weeks as well as during the aftermath.
They're technically in the wrong, though equally they probably would be more inclined to take it seriously if not for every minor issue in the world being made out to be the worst thing ever by the media and educators. Because when an actual disaster comes along a lot of people tune out because they no longer believe that the 'wolf' is real.
