Having Massive Problems With Therion's Graphics

I have yet to complete Amaurot without dying to Therion due to being unable to see anything when he charges his massive column attack which basically fills my screen with white light from the large white ball if the charge-up and I can't see where the hell I'm going to get on to one of the small platforms .. I also have the same 'glare' problem with the faces.

Are there any graphics settings which I can use to tame these excessively glaring effect? I've tried what appeared to be the obvious 'glare' settings which didn't help, so far I haven't seen any settings like in FFXI where you can disable gfx effects from PCs and mobs .. can this be done somewhere?

Zoom out your camera. Learn to recognize the attack name (it has a charge bar)


Not sure what else to suggest. Highly doubt there's any graphical setting for it.

Unfortunately, no; the beam will just be that large (and block the view) with any settings.

Ideally, you want to move to the platform when the attack starts charging—you can see the ball of energy gather in front of him if you're zoomed out, even without watching the cast bar—but if you slip up and move too late, swing your camera up ABOVE you and you can find the platform more easily.

Okay, thanks for confirming there's no setting equivalent to a 20-year-old MMO from the same company .. the main problem is when only the last section of the platform is left, even fully zoomed out his damned head often obscures my character and the glare from the ball just makes it a nightmare.

So look at the cast bar.
