    Rework undraw

    As it stands it's a useless skill. I think if it was reworked to just flip a drawn card from range to melee and vice versa then ast would appeal to much more people. Theres nothing more annoying than getting all melee or all range in a party and having to keep searching for cards. I don't think this is a game breaking change as it still requires you to know the cards. Ast right now turns a lot of people off and I think this minor change would encourage more players to play it regularly.

    Don't bother trying to get absolutely melee/ranged card when the full party has one or another.
    It's a waste of time and effort, and consume all your redraw stacks for nothing.

    undraw is a remnant from stormblood, and even then it waa better to just use minor arcana back then anyway


    what would solve the issue would be changing redraw so that youre guaranteed to get a different seal and a different melee/ranged every time you redraw. They did a similar change back in the old card system where they made redraw always give you a different card, so changing seal and card type isnt that much of a stretch.

    That's actually a very good idea. I mean, the whole card system is clunky as hell (with its constant changing targets and eventual carpal tunnel syndrome) but it would be nice to not have our main contribution to a party limited by what jobs other people are playing.

    Just don't use Undraw, it's completely useless, and we don't need the button bloat.

    I'd rather they fixed Redraw to exclude your current seal and mode rather than just exclude that exact card.
    That way if you draw say a Spire, Redraw will give you either Balance or Arrow.

    I disagree with this, i don't think they should rework Undraw. I think it's just fine where it is, IN THE TRASH.

    They should give AST another skill instead, that's all. Bring back Time Dilation/another fancy move please.

    I am totally on board with restoring Time Dilation -- AND the stun for Celestial Opposition. I mean seriously, if another healer job can keep their AE stun, why shouldn't AST?

    Yeah honestly i think Time Dilation is what i miss the most from the old AST. I also miss the card variety and the ability to spread buffs around the team. I wish they would reintroduce one of these mechanics instead of leaving us with a skill that literally no one includes in their hotbar ...

    Now that my main (WHM) is in a good spot, i decided to get back to AST a bit and frankly, it feels like unfinished work. SE should definitely do some clean-up.

    WHM also has a useless skill, and even gave the other two one this expansion (fluid Aura and repose).

    You're right, i never use Repose and Fluid Aura as WHM, but still it's not comparable to Undraw.
    Since AST can only use one card at a time now, you might as well just dump the card on someone randomly, or just wait for the end of the Draw CD. In no situation ever will Undraw be of any help. And unlike Fluid Aura and Repose, you can't even use it for fun, since its only effect is to throw away your card without any animation whatsoever.

    But really what bothers me the most is the fact that it's so apparent that SE just didn't care.
    Even with the old AST, Undraw was almost never used, and for some reason, when they had their big healing jobs overhaul, they thought "Ah, Undraw ? Meh, let's just leave it there, whatever.". I mean, they could have easily swapped it with something more useful, or like OP said, tweaked it a bit so that it had at least some use cases (even niche ones).
