Diadem 3.0 is Terrible Content

As someone who did a stupid amount of Diadem 2.0, Diadem 3.0 is a huge disappointment. I'm not saying Diadem 2.0 was good content at all- it wasn't. I only had fun achievement hunting because of the group I frequently ran with. By the end, I hated anything and everything that had to deal with Diadem, to include the people.

I had hoped that there would be more unique funtions to Diadem than the Aetherial Auger. Instead, its that and the timed interval of Umbral weathers that allows you to collect the Artisanal materials. I haven't touched fishing in there yet, but from what I understand it follows the same concept (minus the auger).

I am really shocked that they changed so much from Diadem - Trials of the Matron to the newest iteration of Diadem (3.0). I wouldn't have been surprised if they used a similar formula to the previous iteration, gather X amount of times to unlock the use of the aetherial gaps, and the areas under the gaps had ephemeral nodes- which could have new skybuilder unique items that we would gather as a collectible to turn in towards the restoration efforts. Instead, we get our materials "approved" in stacks of 10, which means that it can take up to twice as much inventory if you weren't lucky enough to get all materials gathered in the correct amounts. You also have to deal with the nodes being entirely random in what they contain- good luck if you need one specific material!


All in all, this is empty content that won't last even as long as the original Diadem. I expected nothing and I was still let down.

On the other hand it is a nice centralised place to gather all your mats for Ishgard Restoration, it's good enough exp and honestly is about as interesting as gathering is, just with more mats available in one space.

What I would like to see is that this version is built on to start to add more gathering based content. Rather than SE look at it as another failure, because I think this is the right idea.

The battle content went to Eureka, which they built on and made improvements on for Pyros and Hydratos. And better it stay there because the battle content was worse than anything Eureka has offered us.

Hmmm well I'm enjoying it. It's not the greatest content I have ever done but I do like it.

What I would like to see is that this version is built on to start to add more gathering based content.

I got 4 levels on my botanist and reached 80 yesterday. It's a place to gather mats for firmament. Ir's fine my me and it caters to many different levels of gatherers.

I would like them to build on this for further gathering content as Saefinn stated earlier. But I love that all my Ishgard Restoration mats are in one place. It's a chill and relaxing time and place to just go gather. I'm actually enjoying it.

Know what I'd like to see be updated with regards to this, nodes not having 2 pools of items that , I just want 1 set for my crafting but have to bulk up my inventory getting items of the other set I don't want, to get the option to gather the items I do want on a later node.

Yea they can give you scripts but I'm gathering for crafted ones and consistency be nicer especially on days I have limited time.

Will say I like the gun idea, it allowing players who only have btn or only min to still get the other mats, that is really nice

It's pretty barebones, but I think the intention this time around was to help people level their gatherers faster, like what they did with ocean fishing for fisher. The point system for extra titles is there for the more dedicated players.
