Considering the animation on these is repeated twice and then just stops... is there any reason these aren't just looped or turned into special emotes so you can be permanently reading or feasting? Seems so odd to make them one timer things.

I was very disappointed to find out they are not persistent emotes.
Where do you even get them a fc mate said it was in skybuilding but I don't see it there I just see the parsol and a new hair style in it.
You get the read emote from scripts you get the bread emote from the kupo of fortune card
You could also simply buy it off the marketboard, if you have the gil
I hope they consider changing it to loop over and over. I was a bit disappointed when I saw that it wasn't looping as well
But eitherway, I'm glad we are getting a lot of different emotes recently!

I got the /bread-emote and was disappointed. It's fake-eating, you see them taking a bite and chewing but the bread is still whole without a missing bite in it. I was like "What are you chewing at? The damn bread is still in your hand!"
After playing Aion, I could say the same exact thing because they at least remove chunks of it per bite but tbh..... I don't mind it being whole, you could just say they're taking smaller bites out of it. The emote itself is fine as it is in that notion for what we have, but not looping feels like such a waste.
