We Need New Purple Dyes

The current purple dyes that we have are weak. We need a really vibrant and richly royal purple like on the Ala Mhigo flag. We need more gorgeous purple shades. Purple got snubbed.

Ya blue got 2 new colors and they are the majority color in dye system yet purple din't even get 1 thats just pathic you know.

Agreed. I was glad to see Red and Yellow get a little love (as Red, Yellow and Purple have the least amount of dye variety), but now the lack of Purples are more apparent. Still waiting for them to give us the "basic" Purple (the one used as the selection to the Purple shades). Ruby Red at least practically addressed the issue of a "basic" Red missing (for the longest time Dalamud Red -as dark as is it- was the closest thing we had). I'm getting a little tired of these garish Metallic colors though. I wonder if they finally have "Gold" out of their system yet.

we got very nice bright red and Pink
but the orange colors in this game are very dull

I love a lot of the new dyes, even though i wont end up using some of them they're still absolutely great. But yea, we need some purples and oranges next i think!

I don't think the metallics are garish this time. White, black and soft gold - these are colours that will get a lot more use than some of the lurid metallics we had before.

I never thought Dalamud red was that dark, either - compared to the new red, it certainly is, but that seems almost painfully bright while Dalamud is just a basic red that usually matches other red items well.

I've said before - I'm disappointed at the continued lack of a purple that matches the "black and purple" caster gear colour scheme. There's nothing that coordinates with it except the metallic purple.

And are people really going to get much use out of that yellow-green "vanilla" colour?

I'm sad we didn't get a new purple dye. My character looks so nice in purple that it kind of became her signature color.

There's one specific kind of purple that's on items like the Gambler's Coat or the Plague Doctor's Coat that's not available to us. It looks like a non-metallic metallic purple.
I had hoped we would be getting that, as they said in the art stream something like we were getting the matching colors we always asked for or something like that.
But we also didn't get the red that's on some items...

The new colors are nice. While the pale yellow can look a little too green and the blue is too saturated for my taste, I would have loved to get some of the colors that are often used on undyeable parts of gear, more pastel and dark dyes and especially a new purple.

Compare it to the shade of red used to represent the red dyes tab. It's not like wine red dark, but it's noticeably darker. Maybe "dark" isn't entirely the right word, maybe "muted." But we were sorely lacking a vibrant red like the one representing the red dye tab.

Which caster gear? Metallic purple wouldn't be entirely confusing if it was renamed metallic magenta. On certain outfits it could even pass for pink.

I agree, while I do love the new dyes I think in addition to royal purple it would be great to have a vibrant lavender and berry hue.

Yeah, it's my favourite colour but in the end I very rarely use it because of the limited variety/mostly shades that aren't even really purple.
