Physical range dps damage?

That honestly doesn't make any sense to me. Gear should be the main factor in how much damage you do. Not the amount of utility you bring to a raid.

I've been playing a LOT of red mage. The job is notorious for not topping parses (assuming equal skill) but bringing in a survival kit. I love this job.

But, if we also topped dps charts all things being equal, then why ever bring anything else. It would completely invalidate dps that doesn't have the utility. Imagine a black mage being reduced to "a red mage without res".

Yes, utility has a value. You can argue the amount of value, but to discredit it full stock is incredibly short sighted. I'm floored that people are capable of imagining that to not be true.
