The /read emote should be persistant!

I'll start this off by saying: this is my first forum post and I'm not sure if I put this in the right spot so apologies if not.

I've always wanted a reading emote and I'm sure a lot of other people have too. Always thought it would be a neat one to use while afking, especially when reading in real life as a book lover. The read emote being a normal non-looping one kinda let me down in that respect though.

Most other MMOs I've played have /read be a looping persistant emote so I think it would be cool if they'd consider making the one in XIV loop too, since in RP situations as well, I'm sure people wouldn't want to constantly reapply it if RPing that they're reading out of a book. I don't RP myself, but I can imagine it would help with it.

A few of my friends were also a little let down by it not being persistant too so I'm not alone on this I'm sure

I know some people might say to just use the SCH/SMN/ARC idle poses for this, but it's different. This emote is very actively reading off of the book instead of staring at the page, and I think it'd just be neat.

I completely agree, /read should be persistent. I was fully expecting it to be persistent, so I was pretty let down when it wasn't. This shouldn't be a difficult change for SE to implement, so I don't think it's asking for too much.
There are plenty of other emotes that I think would be much more fun if persistent, too, i.e. /tomestone.

I agree it should be persistent. Hell throw a page flip animation in there so it’s slightly better than an arcanist doing /cpose
