The lag is with the company hosting the servers. NTT.NET is horrible and ALWAYS has high ping. I no longer believe in the DDoS attack stories because anytime I load up PingPlotter the NTT.NET network is ping times always instantly double or triples.

SE needs to get on their hosting companies case or move to someone else.

I know ntt has problem nodes, but so does every isp out there. It used to be level3 that was the meme. NA in general just has crap backbone providers.

I haven't had issues over ntt, but I'm in Washington state, and my isp routes differently. Some people in Cali have worse ping than I do cuz ISP's are just terrible.
