Sound Effects Cutting Out Abruptly

I just built a new PC a few months back and have always had this issue. I’m on Windows 10 1909, Ryzen 7 3700x, RTX 2070S, Gigabyte elite x570 mother board. Certain spell effects will begin to play then stop after a second. Some examples are Chimeras dragon voice, second boss in grand cosmos song spells, the blue mage Ravana skill between the last casts, and even the Level Up jingle if I’m in an area where a lot of effects are happening at once (like leveling up in a sea of crafters) Background music plays fine and Discord works fine too. It’s just certain spell effects on their own. I’ve tried updating audio drivers/uninstalling to no effect so I’m kinda lost now.

We noticed that your sound card drivers are a little out of date and newer patches are going to utilize newer driver versions. Please try updating/reinstalling the sound card drivers along with making sure the sound settings in-game are correct.

The drivers from 12/3/2019 are the most current ones available from my motherboard manufacturer and I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled no less than 5 times. Even tried older versions. As far as in game settings, I’ll use an example. In the Firmament with lots of people in one area crafting, I can start crafting an notice my personal sound effects will either play half of the sound or just not play at all. If I turn “other PCs” level to 0, then I don’t hear any other players crafting but my sound effects still play incomplete.

What audio devices are you using? Have you tried using different audio devices? If you have multiple audio devices plugged in, have you tried each one as the only audio device plugged in? We would also like to recommend performing a Clean Boot on the desktop to see if the crashing continues. This will prevent any programs from starting up when the starting when the computer first boots up. This can end up having adverse effects on the game when these programs are running in the background. To perform a clean boot for Windows 10: Open the task manager (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC) and select the 'Start up' Tab. Disable everything here and restart the PC.

Tried that. Went out and bought a USB headset thinking my integrated sound card was just acting up. Still same thing. I can turn every sound effect off except "Sound Effects" and it still cuts in and out. No other sound is affected other than effects. Only happens when there's alot of sounds trying to play at once. Uninstall/reinstalled the entire game (took about 2 hours of downloading). Setting character limit from Maximum to Minimum helped a tiny bit, still cuts in and out. If I craft alone by my house it's fine. I also made sure all of my windows updates were current, no change. As the USB headset I'm using uses an external sound card I'm starting to doubt that its actually hardware/driver related.

Another small update. Updated chipset drivers. No dice. Some areas like in Pvp when I use my mount I noticed that some times the horn effect doesn’t play. I’ve noticed that any system sounds like buffs being applied, music, macro sounds, etc all play perfectly fine. I’m more inclined at this point to think it’s something wrong with the game and the way it’s prioritizing which effects play and which drop. I did notice when I leveled up in the Firmament. in the crowd it also dropped that victory fanfare effect about half way through
