ARR Beast Tribes

I have finally started working on Rep for the ARR Beast Tribes, specifically Sahagin and Sylph and when I went to purchase some items using the Beast Tribe currency, I notice I did not have any of the specific beast tribe currency which I thought was weird. Today, I paid attention to what the quest rewards are and it shows a venture token instead of the beast tribe currency.

Is this supposed to happen? How do I buy items that can only be bought with that currency if I'm not getting it?

You will start getting beast tribe currency when you reach a higher tier.

The ARR tribes didnt start giving currency till around the 3rd or 4th rank for them.. if you notice their tribe currency items are much cheaper then HW or SB due to this..

What they said. I find ARR beast tribes to be extemely slow going and the fact that you're limited to 6 a day (unless you unlock the next tier) is pretty annoying. They should really buff out the reputation you gain from them because it takes a lot longer to level them than anything after. Even HW. I feel like I've been working on amaljaa forever.

The ARR tribes are actually faster than the expansion ones. If you focus entirely on one, it takes you 15 days to get it to max rank. About a week longer if you only do 3 quests per tribe, which lets you work on more tribes at a time. By comparison, it takes 30 days of doing tribe quests to max out the Qitari.
