Consistent "Unable to complete version check" message logging in...

Hello, I unfortunately have been having some technical issues with my Final Fantasy 14 client upon trying to login. I've attempted to uninstall and reinstall the game but to no avail either. After the latest patch today every time I log in i get an error that states:

    "Unable to complete version check. [30410] [30607] [20457] [404]."

Any help would be appreciated since I do really love this game and would enjoy to keep playing it.

    Thanks!

I had the same issue so I also decided to try and reinstall the game. I play via steam but after I reinstalled the game it can no longer open the ffxivupdater.exe for some reason so I cant even start downloading the game in the launcher since it wont open. I get a boot error now that says "Unable to launch Final Fantasy XIV Updater. [11035]". I even updated windows 10 and restarted my computer and it solved nothing and that was before reinstalling the game.

edit: I am currently reinstalling the game in Windows safe mode hoping it will work when I get to the latest patch. And I also hope it will launch when I revert back to normal mode.

edit nr 2: Well reinstalling the game in safe mode worked. But the thing is that it shouldnt be needed to right? =P Anyways I hope there will be a fix for it.

Please respond to this thread since I would really like to get into the game again it worked fine yesterday.

    Thank you!

I was having the same issue, couldn't even open the updater: "Unable to launch FINAL FANTASY XIV Updater. [11035]"

What worked for me was a solution already covered on another thread, http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...sy-xiv-updater
After I disabled Real-time protection on Windows 10, it worked just fine.

    Hope it helps!

So i just was able to fix my issue, i found out that i for some reason had two separate files for final fantasy in my C: and D: drive, had to delete all files related to final fantasy xiv, then redownload everything. dont know if somehow the files got corrupted and separated during download but i was able to manage to fix it this way. Hope this helps those who are getting this issue
