Why not just have larger apartments?

I'd like SE to focus on making apartments great again. Give us a 2nd floor, space on par with a small house on each floor and a balcony for gardening and were good.

I like this design, but for an upgraded apartment. The second floor could be a mezzanine floor so no more need to install lofts and float non table top furniture.

I hope SE gives this a chance. Minus the viewable/interactable outdoors area of a plotted house, if the indoor novelty, aesthetics and functionality of apartments are greatly improved, apartments will be a very viable starter or i daresay permanent housing system for players. Given that housing districts and wards are limited bordering to rare, and not so easily increased.

I'm assuming a lot of people would start with the base apartment and upgrade as they raised the gil. Depending on the cost, everyone may not be able to afford the largest size.

C'mon Square Enix. Toss us a bone. Were not asking for much here. Just a better apartment system. You can do it. I believe in your ability to achieve this.

Well if the Firmament in ishgard has anything to do with plotted housing,

basically what the players are seem to be rebuilding are the perimeter walls, welcome gates, roads, landscapes, as the plots are kinda determined already,

But most importantly the players are building the biggest structure at any housing district ward, its apartment building, lets all hope for the best.

I'd actually NOT want a second floor/staircase as a static part of apartments. A BIGGER apartment, with a HIGHER ceiling, and a much bigger item limit? YES! But a second floor that I have no say in its placement/design? NO, I don't want that.

I want SE to simply allow us to place any object that can be place on the floor, on a loft. Let us make our own second floors. We have placeable stairs already too. Maybe we can get new kinds of placeable stairs and lofts added as well for variety.
