Please do explain How Archer to Bard Works, I like archer so far , seems weak cuz i have no money for good gear, Gil seems rough to get as a newbie , Im a Miner and a Goldsmith which seems like a good combo to me but still have no clue how my future will be :P

Well, you level Archer to 30 and Conjurer to 15, then you're eligible to take the quest for Bard from an NPC in the Archer guild in Gridania. You'll need some higher level help with this because I hear it's just not possible for even a full party of 30s to beat the first job quests. Most people had at least one level 50 when doing this so it was kind of a breeze for them.

As far as money goes, you might be better off just selling the stuff you mine up in the short term to make some money to get the gear you need. Later on it might behoove you to level up your craft some more. It just all depends on what kind of pace you want to level your archer versus your crafter. Leveling up a battle class takes significantly less time in my opinion.

Guildleves provide some nice amounts of gil later on, don't forget to do the Leve evaluation after you complete 8 leves to get the maximum gil bonus.

On Archer to Bard, you shift from a focus solely on DD and instead gain better support abilities with Songs and Conjurer Spells. That isn't to say that Bard's damage is bad, it's actually really good and can help a party a ton.

You can switch back and forth between the two all day long by adding or removing the job stone.

Bard damage isn't overly weak though, you lose the cross-class stuff like invigorate, but you get a new AoE Ws and can enhance your party's damage nicely. You also get the JSE (job specific equipment) that will enhance your new abilities as well as stacking dex/pie for ya. Brd isn't terrible ^^

The "lower damage on Archer" is honestly just losing access to lancer abilities that either gave us faster TP or lowered WS recast (specifically for Quick Nook, which otherwise has a very long recast time). Stat-wise there is very little difference so your damage is still great.

Not to mention, any damage you may lose, which is slight, can be multiplied exponentially in any group with the benefitof your buffs.

I've even found soloing on bard to not be that bad. You have access to cure and stoneskin/protect from conjurer. Once I unlocked bard, I haven't gone back to archer for soloing.

bard actually has better stats for damage. at lvl 50 you get an extra 10 piety, wahoo.

If your gonna lvl bard make sure you lvl thm high enough to get sanguine rite and cnj to get sacred prism. Since bards are the only ones that can combo that you'll be expected to have it.
