    Good afternoon and thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

    Due to changes made to the changes made to the game launcher, only the Steam version of Final Fantasy XIV can be launched from the Steam application. If you are experiencing the " no valid service account" error, please launch Final Fantasy XIV from the Window's launcher. To do so, please uninstall the Steam version and download the the game from the following link:

    With all due respect, I've always had the steam version, always. Every single dlc was bought from steam. And even the mog station says that my account is STANDARD(STEAM). I don't know why all of this suddenly changed, but as I said, I managed to circumvent the problem by adding a shortcut to the boot executable and adding "-issteam" to it

    I wanted to ask something else. Since I'm not really sure this problem is connected to what you said, meaning the changes to the launcher, what will happen in the future if I wanna purchase a new expansion?
