Add AFK logout timer to Limsa

Limsa is charming with all those people be they afk or not. Personally I don't have a lag issue and not sure why some are. PS4 possibly?

Nah. I'm on PS4 and I don't seen lag. Even in loaded areas. If you DO see lag it's your internet. Again I'm on PS4.. the ONLY time I see lag is when the ISP is being stupid.

I haven't experienced anything to the severity you have described in Limsa. Sure, there's a bit of an fps drop while zoning in during prime time. But it's nothing too crazy. The Firmament on day 1 of 5.2 launch though? Now THAT was a lot of people, and it was certainly worse than anything Limsa could throw at me. But...I still had no problem moving around and getting things done. It was just at a little under half the frame rate I'm used to. It has since eased up a bit as people lose their interest.

Considering you had someone admit in this thread they even park themselves AFK before they go to bed simply so they don't have to logout, that actually happens quite a bit. Some servers have set people who are known for this. Believe me no one cares about your old Stormblood Eureka armor with weapon sheaved.

and if they can afford their power bill going up so what I think your making it to much of a big deal if its really a problem for you some solutions like logging out somewhere else or just be patient to get on the que doesn't last that long maybe 2mins tops

Loitering is, in many places, considered to be distasteful and sometimes outright criminal behaviour. Obviously FFXIV is a game so severe penalties are not appropriate, though an automatic timer to log people out of cities when they're clogging up major thoroughfares would be pretty neat. We just need the awful summoning bell trick to be fixed to prevent workarounds.

True, they could address the AFK workarounds if they wanted to. Considering how many people want to run up the firmament leaderboards we are likely to have login queues in the game for awhile, unlike a normal patch.
