Anyone waiting for ps3 release just set in your mind a year. Seriously. FFXIV will only be able to recover, turn around bad reviews, and survive if the game is in great polished condition when they release for ps3. Anything less than that and they would have wasted alot of money for no reason and become the worst MMORPG developer. Thats why they haven't released ps3 info because as of now its just WAY too early to say. Yoshi-P is also trying not to break promises for that will also destroy the game entirely in its current state.

edit: and by polished I also mean with a lot of content for Hardcore and Casuals cause again they won't survive if they only have one or the other.

Probably around the first expansion or christmas time.. least that's what I was thinking before the earthquake >.<
I understand about needing to conserve energy and wish a fast recovery for Japan even if XIV wasn't an issue.

However with all the issues in general with XIV being delayed my pacience is really hitting its limit. I too wish it wasn't just "until the game is fixed" if given a time frame I would be more likely to be less judgemental than "sometime in the future...eventually" feel given at the moment. None the less I dispite any answers will be given (or should be asked) till A.They are able to recover from the earthquake properly. and B. SE announces they are close to being happy about XIV as a product.

I stand by my thoughts when they first called the delay..

I think SE will run 6 months of updates.. Start to charge for the game afterwards for another 6 months.. then release the PS3 version along with a complete first expansion of content to just explode the game with things to do for the unflux of another 50k players.

i agree, I think at the rate they are going it will be 1 year of updates total, seeing as how each update so far has added very very very little in terms of real change my thought is like 6~ more months of little bs updates then they will reintroduce the payment system then 1 major improvement/update just to make the reinstatement of the payment system seem justified w/o loosing all the remaining players, then 6 more months of bs up dates before ps3 release with 1st expansion... thats probably more what the case will be... SE i pray you prove me wrong

if stuff in japan goes well there should be one of 2 big updates to the battle and hadding a bit of dungeon crawling. Just gotta wait it out as japan fixes itself. Things seems to be going smoothly minus all the aftershocks. They do drills for these sitations so they are better prepared for them. Still stinks about the death and injured toll. Sucks also because I wanted to take a trip out and see all the places that ended up getting it.

Well, no one said that they won't keep working on the game. They probably can do that even with the servers down. Not saying that will happen, but seeing as the foruns are still online, it's likely they will still work on patches normally. So, I don't expect any major delay on FFXIV development, we just can't play at the moment.
