    That's fine and all but did we have to really lose our Ammo animations.

    I scoured the guns to find out which ones had animations to go with the reloads and used those. Now? Meh.

    Also I dislike the animations we got because it really feels more like "Look at this call back Oooooooooooooooooh" more than trying to make MCH stand on it's own. Like trying to fix Monk by giving it moves based of Sabin, ignore the issues or if it's good or bad, just look it's Sabin Animations. Or giving Ninja Shadow/Yuffie animations. Or Gunbreaker Squall/Leon.... oh wait.

    MCH lost all the cool animations like Grenade shot and the magic debuff had neat animation too
    but i dont think the job is in any major need of a rework (range dps do need a bit of a touch up) but hopefully the job gets way more to do next expansion because damn it is bare bones right now

    I thought the art was formed to shoot dragons, not... shoot dragons?... Hmm.

    I'd love to see them summon one of those dragon-killer ballistae, though.

    I still think that main combo animations are a big flaw. Not the only one, as i described above, but i still can't understand why so many people defend it. "It's fantasy" is not an explanation. Machinists already exist in the lore, and Machinist job is not related to them at all. Again, where are the bullets and gunshots? Why we only flip around while shooting heat and summoning things?
    Also people say that it's good to have one job with wild animations. Ok, but these animations don't suit Machinist. We simply need new job dedicated to that with fitting lore, and bring back soul to the Machinist. And also fix all other problems, because again, satisfying animations won't fix weird rotation.
    I'm not attacking people who like that, because i understand why some people like it, but it doesn't work with Machinist at all.

    You know that Machinist shoots with what is basically magic, right? They don't even use actual bullets. Do you ever wonder what that bulky thing on your waist is for?

    Yes. Since, technically, it's main purpose is to draw in ambient aether and convert it into bullets directly inside your gun. So you can shoot non-stop, without needing to carry around millions of bullets to load in manually.

    Hey, don't you know the saying? Fight Dragonfire with Dragonfire!

    Also, the Azure Dragoon uses dragon power to fight dragons. That's literally their schtick.

    Yes, but isn't that merely due to the futility they'd otherwise face in using a melee weapon on an enemy flying dozens of feet above them?

    They're trading limited ranged for nearly unlimited range by, effectively, flying.

    A MCH, by comparison, would be trading a mechanical gun-fired projectile for a self-propelled non-mechanical 'projectile' that simply cannot be fired from a gun and sees no benefit from being "fired" at all (a... dragon... something from the toolkits of XI DRGs and maybe Beastmasters).

    Not really. All Dragoons are able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.

    That's not specific to the Azure Dragoon(s). Azure Dragoons get increased power from Dragon based enhancements and aetherial dragons (For example, Geirskogul/Nastrond)

    Who says they have to not fire it from a gun? Especially when aethereal manipulation is allowing them to conjure rockets and missiles out of thin air or shoot out bullets that explode into balls of lightning.

    I'm sure there exists some possibilities to allow for them to effectively shoot people with dragons.
