Iris size

Just a curious question from playing around in the character creator: do you use the large or small iris size for your character?

For the majority of races I prefer the large size, but for Miqo'te (both genders) and female Au Ra I think the small size looks better.

So I was wondering whether there a pattern to what people prefer, or if it varies a lot.

Always large except for Seeker Miqo'te because it can look a bit freaky with light eye colours, looks fine on Keepers though.

Large. I feel that it helps calm the expression of the character. With some races having them small makes them look a tad too wide awake.

Yeah large looks better on Keepers imo. It's what I use, not that many people have seen it.

Mine are large, but I actually had to log in to check mine since I can't even remember. The difference in size for male Au Ra is so insignificant. I kind of wish it was more noticeable.

I always go for large. You can see the eye color a bit better, but also gives them as "softer" look I think.

Large, especially on races with smaller eyes like roegadyn. Any smaller, and they look creepy.

I use small irises. Large irises randomly started to bug me.

I prefer large for most races. Small irises honestly don't look like they're centered right? Is that just me? It makes them kinda off putting to look like and I feel like a simple change in placement would fix most of them.

I use small. I've used two fantasias on my character during my duration in XIV. One was the free one that I used to try out a Highlander, the second was to change everything back. When I changed back though, I didn't revert 100%. Her iris size, eye color, and height remained altered from her first iteration. I changed her iris size from large to small and also adjusted the shade of purple in her eye color to get them to be more 'piercing'. I also adjusted her height to maximum. I wanted to create an attractive character while also avoiding making her look like a loli, and more like an adult.

The large iris size in particular really bothered me during cut scenes that zoom in on my character's face.
