    Controller Issues

I figured this would be the best section to post this in. So, here we go:

I play using a Xbox One controller. I use it wirelessly (Bluetooth) and wired. Brand new controller, too. When playing, things will "stick". For example: If I'm fighting something and I'm moving my character around and also moving my camera as well, one of them will get stuck to where I'll keep running or my camera will keep turning. I have no idea what causes this or why. It happens on new controllers, old controllers, brand name, off brand, wired, wireless, etc. I cannot figure out why this happens or how to fix it. It does get pretty annoying and I figured maybe it was the controller, but after swapping controllers out like 10+ times, I doubt that is what causes the issue. Does anyone have this same problem? Any ideas on how to fix it? I'm at a loss.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

We apologize that you are experiencing difficulties with your controller. Please try the following troubleshooting steps:

    - Try using a genuine Xbox360 or Xbox One controller (preferably wired) as these are compatible with Windows OS.
    - Try plugging the controller into different ports (both front and back).
    - Make sure all drivers for the controller are fully up to date.
    - Uninstall and reinstall the device drivers.
    - Disable all other device drivers, leaving the mouse, keyboard, and controller as the only active devices.
    - If you are using a specialized gaming keyboard, try using a different keyboard to ensure there are no conflicts between the devices.
    - Try unplugging all other devices and only plugging in the mouse, keyboard, and controller.
    - Make sure Windows has been fully updated form the Microsoft/Windows Update website.

I've looked through my drivers. Everything is updated. Only devices I have plugged in are my keyboard, mouse, controller, and headphones. Still not sure why I would be having this issue. And this is a genuine Xbox One controller that I am using.

Good afternoon and thank you for posting on the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

Could you, please, provide a system report? Simply go to the 'Config' option on the Final Fantasy XIV launcher and to the right of 'System Information' click on 'Display.' We would also recommend deleting the locally-saved data folder (My Documents > My Games > Final Fantasy XIV). Make sure to create a backup of this so you can replace it if it doesn't solve the issue.
