What if you DO pay someone else's sub?

With all that said, I've never even once seen "You don't pay my sub" used by anyone seriously/unironically.

I thought it was an ironic thing to make fun of people who're self entitled and that its hyperbolic. Then I had one in a dungeon a few months ago.

It was dumb. It was the last boss of Keeper of the Lake, the tank didn't tank the dragons in the right place and we also wiped. No big deal, it happens, people make mistakes, people aren't as experienced or don't always know mechanics and so on. And the tank mechanic in question is not immediately obvious. So I explained them in what the mechanic was and I thought I was quite pleasant about it.

They flipped out about how I was telling them how to do their job and were very rude and defensive about it. I told them they didn't need to be rude because I didn't think it was an obvious mechanic, they didn't do it and figured it's quite plausible they might not have realised. A friend was in the group who backed me up on it. At no point did we put them down.

Then the guy just continued to run his mouth of and being an a***hole and included the line, "I can do what I want, you don't pay my sub".

And fairplay to him. He doesn't pay ours. We kicked him and got a tank with a better attitude in his place. Win for that tank, nice quick roulette. A***hole tank on the other hand wasted their's.

I paid for a couples sub. It was a IRL marriage gift.
They left my FC so they could raid with other people when my FC has plenty of people raiding full time with non-members. ;-;

I used to be with someone who paid my sub and used it as an excuse to control every aspect of my play time, right down to what class I play and race I was.

You can tell someone anything you want.

They don't have to listen to you if you're paying their sub or not.

However, if you use the fact that you're paying their sub to make them do something they otherwise wouldn't do (I.e. "If you don't do this, I'll stop paying your sub"), that's coersion.

Coercion doesn't work with this community, also it's not my style. Gotta go for the kill.

I paid for a friend's sub a while back when I could afford it. I mainly dragged him into messing with other friends and helping me set up a bunch of terrible jokes/puns, good times.

Honestly I did for a friend for a bit because they couldn't and wanted to play togeather some so I sent money to their paypal for two months for crystal=play time

You know the old saying "you don't pay my sub"? meaning you can't tell a person how they want to play and enjoy this game...

Well what if you DO offer to pay their sub? Are you then allowed to tell them how to play? Telling them what glamours to wear etc... lol

The best teacher is experience, pay my sub & lets find out.....

You can buy me some mounts too, tell me how to ride them......

I would also require a transfer from Gilgamesh, but I am not on that world so we are good there......
